We went there at night time only for hot spring without staying at the hotel. I liked there very much as not crowd (when compared with some hot springs in China!), reasonable price, cleaning, big enough & relaxing atmosphere (not bad when compared with Hakone Onsen!) ....I'm sure to go there again if going to 花蓮next time. Spent an hour in Antong Spring Hotel outdoor pools and did not regret. The staff seemed very nice and welcoming, the price included small towel and a bottle of water. Good impressions for the hot spring experience.

We only visited the hot spring area, we didn't stay in the hotel. The hot springs were good, nice and clean pools although the water was a bit smelly which is understandable being mineral water. The fittings looked a bit corroded too, but again that is understandable. There are private bathrooms available to have for free for 50min. Then there... More

The water from the Hot Springs evidently is at ph 8.6. The fittings in the room are all corroded and when you run the water or flush the toilet the smell is pretty bad. This is a very nice hot spring near the pass between the valley and coastal side of the coastal range. It has an outside common area with pools that were about 42 and 35 degrees C and another pool with a hot waterfall at about 45 degrees C.
