Stayed one night in Deluxe room at S$92.90 through Agoda. Very reasonable rate I should say. Coz the room and most of their furniture are made of Cypress wood. Was told that we went that time having lots of mosquitoes and they advised us to close the door at level 1 all time to prevent mosquitoes. We have to remove... More

I've been back here for the second time. And here is still my favorite BNB in Hualien. This BNB is high Zen & Japanese style. All the suites here was build with high quality wood. You can even smell the comfortable woody flavor in the air. Very relaxing and delighted. The room is very comfortable and clean. well equipped and... More

Stayed one night in their Deluxe Quad room, which is located in annex building. We have to remove our shoes before entering the building, but this is not required if your rooms are at the main building. Bedroom was spacious for 3pax, and I particularly like the washroom. The furniture and fixtures are mostly made of cypress wood, and the... More

Very friendly staff. Since we have a 9-month old with us, the staff offered us a mini bathtub for the baby... very considerate. Breakfast were good though the choices were limited... but good for vegetarians... We stayed in family rooms which were spacious and good for 4 persons.

We were greeted by the receptionist and our check-in were done is just a mere within 5 minute with the receptionist show us our room with the amenities available all around the Cypress House. The receptionist is kind enough to help us get us a cab for our travel use as well as our trips to Taroko Gorge. Point to... More

My friend and I stayed 3 nights. The place is quiet and safe. We are most impressed with the service of 小佩 and the bosses. We had travelled from Taipei and wanted to return to Taipei earlier. 小佩 checked the train schedule for us and booked the tickets and went to the nearby 7-11 to collect the train tickets. Next,... 1. Location: A quick 5-minute drive to Jiaosi train station, 10-minute ride to Hualien train station. A 10-minute walk to Jiaosi night market. A convenience store within easy reach. Set along a side road, gives it more peacefulness than being along the main road. 2. Staff: Friendly, communicative, helpful. Simply great. They helped made it a good stay. 3. Rooms:... More

I stayed at Cypress house in December, 2011, with my parents and my girlfriend. Taiwanese cities can be noisy at the best of times, but Cypress House was a nice escape. It felt like a quiet little sanctuary right in the middle of the city. The rooms were beautiful, with the smell of cypress wood everywhere. The breakfasts weren't anything... More
