We were a group 7 and booked out the main lodge. The setting is spectacular with a generous grass lawn, plenty of fauna, the picture perfect mountain in the backdrop. We were very specific with what we wanted to experience and asked plenty of questions regarding various Taroko offerings. Rihang was patient enough to explain everything. We spent 3 active... More

I went with my dad and we loved it. A bit pricey for the budget traveler but considering everything you get and comfortability its actually a great price. Small and beautiful little home. The owner(I forget his name sorry) his wife and son are so nice and accommodating. Nice, clean and very comfy beds with a big Taiwanese styled American/English... More

We stayed in a double room and it had all we needed. As budget travellers we first thought that 2000 ntd was a bit much per night, but we quickly changed our mind. Firstly, it includes breakfast and pick up from the train station. Secondly, the son drove us every day to a different local restaurant (once we went to... More

Ok rooms, but with a owner who is really friendly and takes you out to night markets and restaurants. He gives you the best bike/hike in the Taroko. He lets you off att the top and then you can glide down and stop and go for hikes. This was the most beautiful experience we had in Taiwan:)

We stayed here in our tents for 500 taiwan dollars a night each. We were allowed use of wifi, showers, toilets and power to charge up our electricals and this included breakfast. We also had him take us to the top of the gorge and cycle down. We left at 7.40am to do this to beat the crowds and the... More

All the positive reviews here are a testament to Rihang's hospitality and concern for his guests, however, after a recent stay here, I found the accommodations poor value for the price, though my perspective regarding value may differ from others since my travels have largely been in Asia (big cities, countryside, and everything in between). The rooms are all rather... More

Thank you for your criticism, 1 I remember I gave you more space (6 person room is favorable to you) Every night Price: TWD:.. 2000 in this area is on the low side (you can then query ....) 2. (You are mistaken, it is the guests private .....) There were family-sized boxes of American cereal in the kitchen, but these... More

If you want to stay within the beautiful Taroko Gorge National Park, Taroko Lodge is the best place to stay. We stayed there for 3 nights from the beginning and skipped Hualien entirely. We met many other guests who stayed at Hualien first and they commented that they wasted their time in Hualien. Having said that, early booking is necessary... More

we've a nice stay at this good place, Rihang is very accomodating and helpful, and can manage some English, and an expert in helping with places to visit nearby. Excellent if you're on a biking trip as he can take you to the best spots to start you day's visit. Place is located near entrance to Taroko National Park

My boyfriend and I stayed at Rihang's lodge for 3 nights. We were picked up at the Xincheng Train Station, even after I changed the time an hour prior due to a mistake of my own. Our first day, we opted to take a ride to the top of the gorge in the van and ride bicycles down, which was... More

To start off, I'm a review free-loader; I read them for movies, restaurants, especially hotels, but have never once felt the obligation to write one. Now, I feel obligated... Taroko gorge is an incredible piece of nature, and I can't imagine a more authentic way to experience it than to stay at Taroko Lodge. Just a 2min drive/bikeride from Xincheng... More
