This is definitly aimed at the tour groups. Place was deserted most of the time - bar was closed most evenings too, and if open barman was not very friendly. No Westerner should stay here for more than a day or two. In no way is Lattakia a holiday resort for anyone except Arabs. It is supposed to be a top end hotel - it is not. Check-in was unfriendly, check out time-consuming. Rooms have been refurbished. This hotel was beyond my expectations. It is huge and not new, but very well taken care of. They are renovating the rooms currently, and the renovated ones have a new bathroom and a flatscreen TV. The beach is very nice and is monitored by Officers who do not allow swimming in clothing or Hijab. The rooms are ok, not bad for Syria, Not 5 star but decent. We would stay here again. more

Loved this hotel, located right on the beach, just a few steps from your hotel room. People are still on the beach at 2:00 AM and you can still go to the restaurant which is on a outside patio.
