Nice place to stay, good rooms, beds and facilities. The trail to climb Sheva's Breast starts in the grounds. We did the 2.5 hour trail and were accompanied all the way to the top by the two dogs who live at the hostel! Downsides: You get a free 50 MB token for the internet, so you have to pay if... More

We've stayed in Lidwala under our own tent. They have a lot of space in the back garden with loooovely view. Straight from the garden is gate guiding to the hiking path, so you can just simply go exploring mountains. Little dog "Choc" will show you the way! :) The most chilled out place ever, with lovely staff, more then... More

We've stayed at Lidwala Lodge a few times when visiting Swaziland and somehow never got round to reviewing it. But having just stayed there as a family again this summer we were reminded of what a great place it is. The location is stunning - an oasis of plants and flowers with a picturesque stream, and a small but clean... More

As small as Swaziland is, I doubt there's any other place you'd need to stay. This place is centrally located to a large variety of activities, including their own hike to the top of a mountain that affording incredible views. I recommend the safari dorm tents (which do have a couple outlets in them between the lockers).

This is a very nice backpacker. Very friendly hosts who showed us the where abouts. It's also has a very nice trail up the mountain. A very pleasant and quiet sleep for a couple of friends who wanted to explore the surrounding.

Really nice and clean backpackers with friendly staff and good home cooked meals! Plenty of places to chill out and try the hike if you stay there, tiring but worth the views! I would definitely recommend this to anyone travelling through Swaziland

I stayed here in the summer of 2009 for 4 weeks with All Out Africa. The staff are amazing, the rooms are very nice, good showers and food! Wonderful memories of my time here, played a lot of table tennis and drank lots of beer! The environment is beautiful, I recommend the trek up Shiva's Breast - the mountain out... More

It is a tradition among me & my friends to go away for a weekend break-away whenever it's one of our birthdays. In February such an occasion was yet again to be celebrated & we decided to go to Swaziland. What an awesome discovery to find Lidwala lodge. One of the best backpackers we have visited yet! Very tranquil atmosphere... More

This lodge is very nice, clean accommodations, beautiful gardens & grounds, helpful staff. The lodge is conveniently located to caving, craft markets and other area sites. It was raining, so we didn't get to use the pool....or the laundry facilities.
