We travelled 10km down the coast by tuk-tuk to have dinner here. It was well worth it. Lovely restored building inside the old Dutch citadel. Really good friendly service, lovely dining setting & good food. What else would you look for? We would certainly stay there as well. Highly recommended.

If you want something a little different then this boutique hotel is for you. It's beautifully preserved and left untarnished as a survivor of the Tsunamis that ripped through the town in 2005. The hotel is neither typically Sri Lankan nor truly Portuguese style like most of the town due to the changes of ownership and usage of the buildings.... More

We stayed 2 nights here at the end of our recent trip around Sri Lanka and loved everything about it. The building itself is stunning and the owners will take you on a tour around it when you arrive so you get to see it all and hear about some of the history. Our room was one of the newer... More

What a gem this hotel is! The restoration work is stunning and managers Tijana and Petar are so proud of "their" property they take you on an architectural guided tour upon arrival. Both of them were amazing and gracious hosts. You already knew it beforehand as email correspondence on payment and transportation arrangements was super friendly and efficient. They will... More

A small and friendly hotel with excellent service. Only 13 rooms. Excellent food. Breakfast was leisurely served in the courtyard overlooking the pool. Large bathroom with good shower and free standing bath.

Loved this place. The Location is great for exploring the Fort. And the team has done an amazing job in renovating the place. Minimalistic, chic, yet also comfortable. Extra bonus is the excellent restaurant.

Thank you for your kind words. We believe The Fort Printers offers a great base from which to explore the Galle fort and the greater Galle area and we are happy to hear you think the same. The Fort Printers is an 18th Century Dutch mansion which previously served as the Galle printing press for stationery and local newspapers. The... More

The hotel is ideally situated to explore the old city of Galle and to venture to the nearby fish and fruit markets. Everything is in easy walking distance. The hotel has a lovely charm. Tastefully decorated lobby and dining areas. A small pool to gaze at as you sip on a cold glass of wine in the early evening. Customer... More

Stayed here for one night only but waht a fantastic place. So much history and the way the hotel has striven to retain the original features is commendable. The manager gave us a personal tour of the two buildings explaining the features and plans for the future. We stayed across the road in a more contemporary room which was very... More

This lovely old colonial home has been through a number of transitions and is now a boutique hotel in a cramped town, ideally located for every point of interest in Galle. It is spacious and airy and had the best welcoming face-towels in Sri Lanka! The manager Petar, was attentive and extremely helpful (especially when we had a banking problem),... More

We stayed here two nights on the first leg of our three week tour of Sri Lanka and it started our trip off very well indeed. The hotel is lovely, we stayed in the Headmasters suite which had a huge bed with mosquito net and was furnished in keeping with the hotel itself. All the staff were friendly and I... More
