A beautiful hotel, in a fabulous setting, and service which is off the scale. The hotel itself and the rooms are beautifully finished, and the gardens are so peaceful, it really is a fabulous spot to chill out and relax (especially if like us, it is the first stop after arriving off a long flight). 24 hours here and it... Wow, just amazing! We spent two nights here and just loved it. Great food - best I found in Sri Lanka - the gnocchi and seafood pasta were superb. Great pool with enough chairs for everyone. Small boutique hotel that is really exotic. The architecture and interior design by Geoffrey Bawa is just amazing - worth a look inside even... More

We stayed here 2 nights, one of which was an extra night as we could not tear ourselves away from this heavenly hotel. We swam at the beach which is across the railway line and watched the trains packed to the rafters go by. Everything was done perfectly. The hotel was designed by Geiffrey Bawa and so is very beautiful.... More

Our 2 night stay here literally was 'paradise at the end of the road'. It was the perfect ending to our 20 day Sri Lankan holiday, made even more special by a room upgrade! Originally converted in to a boutique hotel by Geoffrey Bawa in the 70s, it has been beautifully refurbished and is truly stunning in a very understated... More

We stayed here towards the end of our Sri Lanka holiday for 5 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is small (only 15 rooms), there are quite a few lounges where you can relax and two beautiful swimming pools - the gardens are immaculate. The hotel is full of items from the collection of the Chairman Shanth Fernando who... More

This hotel is EVERYTHING one would expect from a luxury hotel. We felt utterly secluded as the grounds have so many beautiful nooks to hide away in meaning you could spend hours without seeing another soul. The interior design is exquisite. The small touches such as bringing out a light snack at late afternoon to the pool without being asked... More

This is a beautiful boutique hotel the surroundings are beautiful and cannot be faulted! What can be is the service, there we're numerous service issues during our 4 night stay: 1. The manager who showed us the property advised the safe is often temperamental so to let him know if it became locked and he would come fix it, we... More

Dear Emily, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the design and ambience of Paradise Road The Villa Bentota! Unfortunately this year Sri Lanka was hit by the worst weather experienced during our high season over the period of your stay which no doubt added to your disappointment. We... More

We have just returned from our 5th visit to Sri Lanka, two days early, and £1,500.00 financially lighter (for rebooked flight home, as after 2 hours phoning around all the best places were of course full as it was Christmas) due to the appalling state of the rooms at this hotel. Potentially a death trap - the final straw was... More

Dear Ala O, Thank you for taking the time to write a review on our property on trip advisor. On Christmas Day this year Sri Lanka experienced one of the worst rains in our history. Paradise Road The Villa Bentota was built by the architect Geofrrey Bawa with an aim, as with all his buildings, to embrace nature and the... More

This hotel has full of architectural character & the tasteful black & white designs just add to the beauty of it all. The 3 of us spent a very relaxed holiday at 'The Villa'. Friendly staff & yummy cocktails made from local fruits that help you remind you 'are' on holiday.

The road leading to this beautiful property is misleading taking you through a quaint village, however the min you enter into the courtyard your struck by the beautiful architecture. Roshan was right there to welcome us when we arrived, he took us around the property and explained each detail. The highlight of our stay was the suite we were booked... More
