Stayed for 2 weeks in September and it was just what we were after. A quiet friendly hotel in a great location. The staff were all friendly, helpful and provided a good level of service. It was really nice .. good service.. we were in a delux room.. upstairs.. initially there were little bit of a mix up.. but overall good service.. water sports are too expensive at the hotel.. you can find quite cheaper arround the river. food is good but not much variety.. hotel should have some theme nights .. overall fully satisfied... more

We arrived late afternoon and got the boat across the river to the hotel and was greeted by a refreshing cold fruit juice. Check in was smooth as there was only the 2 of us and we were taken to our room. Beware, 3 people took us and carried our bags and they all expected tipping. Room was nice, free... more

Honest and truthfull review: I travelled to Sri Lanka on 2nd June for a 12 night stay at Club Bentota. On arrival you take a wonderful boat ride from the mainland to the Island. The crossing allows a great view of the river which opens up and meets the ocean. The boat sevice is every 5 mins 24hrs a day.... more
