I recently went to the Shilla Jeju with my family (3 kids ages 3, 6, 9) and my in-laws, who grew up in Korea. There seems to be a sense of nostalgia and warm feelings for the Shilla Jeju among both contemporaries as well as the older generation, many of whom honeymooned there. It seemed as if 60% of the... The hotel is beautifully situated, close to the beach on a cliff in a well attended park. The rooms are perfect, but need some modernization. There is a variety of restaurants, so every taste is served. It's a hotel for young parents with kids. The prices are very high for European standards, especially for food and wine.

This is an impressive property. I think 10-20 years ago this place would have been a little different. Right now, while very clean, it could use some painting and new carpet in some places. Some renovations are in order, which is why I think there may be better options for the $. My perspective is from a couple that have... More

This is my second business visit to Jeju this year. First was in the winter which is quite cold and blustery so I would not recommend a visit here then. This time, it is during the summer so the temperature is bette but with unpredictable weather. We experienced quite a bit of rain on our last day. Thankfully we were... More

City break for the week-end to jeju + celebration of my birthday, we selected what people refers to the best in Jeju: The Shilla. Located south of the island, it is a good hour drive from the airport: cottages like buildings with a very nice sea facing gardens and a majestic lobby. Our room was facing the pool and the... More

Though it was a good vacation and a pleasant visit from the Shilla hotel with my rowdy family, they were very helpful for my infant kids at meal time, and when the singles came out to party at night due to Shilla's night festival concert going on in the middle of the night, they were helpful enough when I requested... We stayed for 2 nights in June. The room was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. We also added an extra bed. The only down side is the bed is hard, not as soft and bouncy like other hotels. There's a bath tub, shower room and heated toilet seat. The toiletries were also luxurious. The breakfast was good... More

The Shilla Jeju is the best hotel in Jeju in terms of quality of service, room and decor. The staff are very courteous and comfortable with serving foreigners, which is particularly important when arranging large events with guests from all over the world. One concern would be the price of the bars and restaurants. Alcoholic beverages are expensive but the... More

Stayed in the Shilla Jeju in June 2013. Totally worth its cost, beautiful clean and spacious hotel. Were in pleasant shock from the korean breakfast - it was soooo delicious, Still remebering it with my friend almost a year after. There are a lot of musuems near the hotel, while staying there there was no need of taking a taxi.... More
