A traditional hanok guest house in the street behind the walled section of burial mounds near the centre of Gyeongju. It's not fancy - in most rooms you sleep on the heated floor and the rooms are quite basic as other contributors have said. A couple of rooms have western-style beds or bunks and several have their own toilet/shower while... More

Gyeongju is a wonderful place with the most lackluster hotels known to man. There is only really one place worth staying, and that's Sa Rang Chae. Luckily, it's also priced right. It is a guesthouse, but its fun to sleep the traditional Korean way. We stayed here in the dead of winter and it was so awesome. It was super... More

Fantastic central location, with bags of charm and traditional character. Lovely owners will make it a memorable stay and give you a real feel of a traditional Korean welcome. Rooms are quite basic, and a little rough around the edges, which is to be accepted for an old building of this type. All part of the charm. It's the second... More

I can said it is worth to stay in this charming traditional korea guest house. The owners are superb friendly and they can guide you the place you want to go. It is near to Anapji Pond and Cheomseongdae Observatory (walking distance of 10-15 minutes) and Tumuli park is just next to it. I regret to stay there 1 night... More

First time with a friend 2 years ago and second time with my mum, i definitively love the place, the owners and the dogs! This is a typical traditional house, very well preserved but still with all now days commodities. First night the heating was too hot but after telling the lady she immediately changed the settings and the room... More

The traditional korea guest house in gyeongju. Excellent service, good location because near the temple, cheap price and self service breakfast. We can take the photo wearing hanbok, free of charge. Someday, I will stay here if I come to gyeongju

This guest house's location is brilliant for seeing the sites of the historic district. Tumuli Park can be seen from the front door and Anapji Pond and Cheomseongdae Observatory Tower are a 10 minute walk at most. You can catch a bus to many other attractions that are further out of the city from the main road that's within a... More

Run by a friendly couple, this is a basic guesthouse without much amenities. But it is an old traditional home with a lot of character and charm. It is very conveniently located: about 10 min walk from the bus terminals or train stations. What I like is that it is just 5 minute walk to the Cheomsangdae park where I... More

The Sa Rang Chae is a lovely guesthouse in a traditional Korean courtyard building. My room was spotless & the courtyard is charming - so pleasant that it's tempting to spend the day there! The owners are very friendly & helpful (more helpful on how to get around than the tourist info office.). Travellers who can sleep on anything, or... More

This is a traditional guesthouse run by a family, so don't expect hotel-style amenities. Do expect warm, friendly people, simple, clean rooms with sleeping mats, plentiful bedding and toasty underfloor heating, a welcoming common area and beautiful surroundings. Our shoes were even put under cover for us when it rained...very personal touches. The restaurant just down the street from the... More
