My family of 3 stayed for 3 nghts from Sep 5 - 8, 2011 in Korean sytle ondol room. Hotel offers basic but adequate accommodation in downtown Gyeongju. All the luxurious properties are located at Bumon Lake area, about 6.5 km (4 miles) outside of downtown. Bus transportation in Gyeongju is excellent. Taxi is inexpensive. However, if your interest is... More

The Bellus Hotel was recommended to us by the Korea Tourist Organization in Seoul. The agent stated that many tourists had been satisfied with their stay at this mid-class hotel. We figured that the KTO would not send foreign tourists to a hotel that was not of a reasonable standard; thus, we made a booking. When we arrived, we were... More

We got a room that accommodates 3 persons - and it was an "ondol" room where you sleep on fairly thin mattresses/futons on the floor (no beds with mattresses off the floor) - we had ondol rooms in other places, and this was comparable - it can take some getting used to sleeping on a harder surface. The hotel is... More

Location is the selling point of this hotel, only 5 mins walk from the bus terminal. Walking to the main shopping and eating district is only 10 mins walk. Other than that, there isn't much to write home about this hotel. The hotel is dated, but clean. The room is a bit small, so it is mostly for you to... More

We stumbled upon this hotel a couple of blocks from the bus terminal. Overall, it was cheap and cheerful - nice staff and good price for what you get. We pain about 40,000 won (about $40) and stayed for two nights in the ondol (traditional) style room. Like others, we found the heating a little high, and slept toastily in... More

We visited Hotel Bellus on our trip to Gyeongju April 2009 in an attempt to stay in central city while still living in a decent enough hotel. We were truly disappointed by the hotel. The lobby was quite polished with marble and all, but once we got to the first floor, the shabbyness of the hotel was evident. The room... More

The twin bed hotel room was reasonably priced at 40,000 won (discounted). It was clean with a refrigerator, television, ondol (heated floors), and computer with internet access. Only complaint is the small tub without a shower curtain and a shower sprayer attached to the sink (though I'm told this is common in Korean hotel rooms and saw this in one... More

It has an interesting website. But there is no more Bellus Brau. There is a disco underground. It was a bit noisy. We could hear on the 3th floor. Small ondol room for 50.000 won/night with small, old bathroom with a small tub. The hotel has a nice court, and from outside is ok. The staff speak basic English, but... More
