We picked Hotel Taegu for its location - halfway between my daughter's apartment and downtown. Advantages are a short walk to bus or metro (short ride to downtown). The lobby, elevators and hallways were nice but the room was shabby and needed a serious cleaning. It looks like the Hotel Taegu would have been upscale 10 years ago. I did... More

Worst decision of our two week South Korea trip. We only had a 1-night stay in Daegu, so we decided we would find a mid-range hotel and save some money. After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor and Agoda, we decided on Hotel Daegu since it was described as “clean” and well located. The location was fine as it had fairly... More

A great rate, super fast internet, and an incredible customer experience solidified this hotel as my preferred location in Daegu for all future stays. Remember the name ‘Simon’. He is the outgoing and hands-on part owner and hotel manager that will ensure your stay is perfect. After living in America for many years his English is nearly perfect which was... More

Nothing fancy and the room was a touch small by even Asia standards but it was clean and fairly comfortable. Clearly this is an old hotel that has had some lipstick applied but shows it's age. The staff was very helpful though, they get higher marks than the property. Careful if you're driving there, you can only enter from the... More

If you're on a business trip or attending conference in COEX daegu, this hotel will be too far but it is comfortable and having all the basic needs required. The staff is quiet and polite and they're are helpful and able to call a taxi for me and provide airport transfer ( for a fee) although they dont speak english... More

This hotel is a Standard 3 star Hotel nothing fancy but it is clean and comfortable. They have completely revamped the reception which looks quite modern - shame the same cannot be said about the rooms which have not been face lifted since I have been visiting (more than 10 years). Everything is old but clean and in working order... More

The wife and I decided to get out of Seoul for the weekend and check out Daegu. We wanted to see Seomun Market and just in general chill out for the weekend and have a few drinks. My wife booked at Hotel Taegu because we were looking for an affordable hotel, no frills hotel, and that is exactly what we... More

A shabby hotel. English speaking staff, quite helpful. Dark lit room, creepy.

We stayed in Hotel Taegu (Daegu) during the 2011 World Athletics Championships. The hotel was under a lot of pressure from the organisers of the event to provide extra rooms at short notice, but Mr. Cho, the manager, was really good with us overseas visitors who had booked a long time in advance to attend the event. The hotel is... More

We had a great stay at Taegu Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The buffet breakfast provided a large choice of items - both Korean & Western. The staff were fantastic. They looked after us really well and made our stay in daegu a real pleasure.
