Friendly staff. Clean. What you would expect for a Holiday Inn. Not in the best area, but located close to the Capital. Technically within walking distance of downtown, but may not be the nicest walk. Limited parking spaces, and there is a charge for parking.

We stayed there as a stopover for vacation - thought we'd check out some of Albany. Location: While close to downtown/state buildings, this is a very seedy area. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and asked if it was walkable and we were told yes. We were a single mom and teenage girl travelling alone - he should not have... More

Nothing to brag about here but the place was clean and looked recently remodeled. The breakfast was usually a little late so we opted for cereal because we had to leave before 7am. I'd stay here again. The hotel is located near the highway and we did notice some suspicious characters walking around. Other than that a decent hotel.

Location: industrial/commercial neighborhood, just off thruway Reception desk people: VERY nice, friendly. Free Breakfast:---many choices, but poor quality. Hot food is cold, cold food tepid. Neighborhood: no place to venture out on foot. Room 216:---Two dbl beds, handicap equipped A/C---ceiling grid removed, exposed inner workings, poor air flow. Bathroom:---really nasty, with visible stains and dirty floor. TV:---old remote, unreliable.

Good hotel when in Albany. Close enough to walk to the State Capital and other sights. The bus station was an eye sore, but not a problem. Free breakfast and wifi is always a positive! Clean room. Nice front desk staff.

If you can get past the awful architecture that puts the hotel up on stilts over about an acre of surface parking and hides the lobby entrance behind all that, this is a perfectly acceptable hotel. Situated just off the highway ramps near the bus terminal, across the street from SUNY headquarters and about a 5-minute walk from State Street,... More

Overnight stay was pleasant. Tried to walk from hotel to downtown sites, but returned for the car. Good choice because there's a lot to see. When we left the hotel the owner came after us to provide a walking tour map of Albany. Very kind. Visited on a Sunday so parking was available, and free, near municipal and historical buildings.... The location is a bit questionable next to bus terminal and vacant building. That having been said we had a good experience. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the couch and chairs were very comfortable. The breakfast was consistent with most hotels today. We would stay here again... More

Only negative is that hotel in a kind of seedy part of the town - room good, facilities good - kind of chincy charging $ 5 for self parking - breakfast average for complimentary and wifi no charge. a Couple very good restaurants close by.
