I was staying for four months in Pine Haven Bed and Breakfast and very much liked this cozy place. Everything was good and I enjoyed to be there. The owner Janice and the manager Denise are wonderful and very kind people. They always tried to make this place more pleasant and convenient for people who were staying there.

I was working in the area for three months. I spent the first month looking for a nice hotel and then I found pine haven. I met the two women who manage the b&b. I met all of the regulars. Everyone I met was friendly and interesting. It is a very beautiful, clean, and well maintained house with everything I... More

I stayed here last May. It is a little unfortunate if you happen to forget the pin code and the proprietor isn't picking up her phone, and yes, there is a guy who lives in the basement, but he's nice. The system is based on trust and respect for others', and it's quite nice. The house is cute, the owner... More

My girlfriend and I decided to meet in Albany as it's halfway from where she and I currently live. We wanted a charming, local place rather than a cookie-cutter hotel experience and decided on the Pine Haven due to it's location and charming bed and breakfast atmosphere. We are both well-traveled and have spent many nights in varying lodging styles.... More

I run a live theatre in the neighborhood and put up all of my traveling performers at Pine Haven. I look at the room when I drop them off, I talk to the performers about their experience and I have never heard anything bad. The rooms are very nice, clean, and each one is unique. I suppose if you want... More

This was the worst lodging experience ever. A stop over on our way to Montreal for our honeymoon was a disaster. Thank God for love, as my new husband and I weathered this horrible storm. Since we arrived late, I did not think anything of getting the security code from the owner to do a self ck-in. Little did we... More

Sadly, right near the police station, so sirens and traffic stops are 24/7. Rooms could use a cleaning and new paint. Old house with absent owner. The "help" is no help at all. SLOW computer service, food was rationed and very basic. Parking lot is small and unkept. Pricey. AVOID this one.

I have read the other reviews and agree with many of them. The owner is not on location and does not pay close attention to the operation. The breakfast is purchased at a grocery store and on a par with cheap hotels in the area. Since rates here are higher, a cheap hotel would be preferable. The neighborhood is noisy... More

Judging by the reviews here, I assumed that I'd be putting up with this place. On the contrary, the boarders and other travelers were friendly and the owners were helpful and good natured. The room was very clean and our particular room had its own bathroom. Good breakfast with a pretty good location within Albany.

When we arrived the A/C was off in the house, it was hot. The location was good. You could walk to dinner. The dining room was nice but had leftover very ripen, Brown, bananas from the day before. I was hoping that was not for breakfast, tomorrow. We proceeded to the second floor to pick out our room, first come... More
