The hotel is well situated in it’s own sandy bay, overlooking the beach and has pleasant and well-kept gardens. That’s the good news. We had a deluxe beachfront room. This was spacious and pleasant, but the furnishings and décor looked a bit tired. The balcony looked as though it had not been swept for some time and was littered with... more

Lovely place, elegant hotel, very efficien staff. Rooms very large and beautiful ocean view. One of the most lovely beaches in the island. If you need help ask to the manager, Ben Karroo, or to Mavis and Dorothy at the reception:they will be happy to solve your problems! more

Having returned from holiday and had time to reflect on our stay at the Meridien Barbarons, we have found that the concerns raised on some websites are totally unfounded. My partner and myself were both very impressed by all aspects of the hotel from the friendliness of the staff to the excellence of the restaurant, including the room. It is... more

Our disappointment started on arrival: although our travel agent requested early morning booking (we were willing to pay for it) our room was not available: we were told the travel agent did not put in the request. We had the booking confirmation with us of course and... more

I walked into the lobby of the hotel and thought that it had been changed to a W Hotel. Very stylish lighting and decor make it elegantly modern like the W hotels in the Starwood line. The room we had (254) had been refurbished, and the modern W type touches were there as well in the bathrooms with blue led... more

We have just come back from the Seychelles. We spent 7 nights in the Meridien Barbarons. Not only did we survive but had a great time. HOTEL: Yes, one of the receptionist is very unhelpful (she is not evil, just communicates badly) , and yes, the food is not extraordinary (the Iocal sausage is excellent though), and yes, the bloody... more

We should have taken notice of tripadvisor! However, people's opinions are not always the facts so I shall give you the facts. We arrived tired at almost midnight and were told to take our bags to our room "straight down there". Eventually we we taken to the furthest end of the block very grudgingly. Our room contained twin beds and... more
