Location one of the best in the Seychelles but the rest needs a lot of investment. the once very beautiful hotel needs urgend renovation, maintenance in jacuzzi and villa pools could be better, price value is poor, for the service and accomadation the hotel is much to expensive. we found out , the hotel is for sale and you feel... I can't rate this place highly enough. The grounds are fantastic, the villas are amazing and the spa is divine. We stayed here for a week as part of our honeymoon and the service we received was outstanding. Basically, we had a phone in the room which you could use to call up for anything you wanted. Need a buggy... More

Arrived 21/12/2011 for 5 day stay on half board, after disembarking from a superlative Silversea cruise. The cost of staying at the Banyan Tree was marginally more expensive than our stays at The Oberoi (Nile) and Mandarin Oriental ( Chiang Mai), 'similar' 5* hotels, but the similarity ended at Reception. The service was poor, food mediocre, facilities non-existent on the... More

My husband I just recently got back from Banyan Tree and all I can say is WOW! Truly a unique and unbelievable experience! When we arrived at this hotel, was amazed how we were welcomed, was like living a dream! We stayed in the Hilside Pool Villa, it all seemed so perfect but we were wrong! Then everything started to get worse, the maintenance in the room seems to be really poor, a light fell on my head while relaxing on the sofa... More

Me and my wife stayed at the Banyan Tree Seyychelles. If you want total relaxation at a high price this is the place for you. The quality of the place is good, but the price of meals and drink are really expensive so make sure you have a fat wallet. Definately the best place on the island of Mahe that... More

We stayed for 9 nights in December 2010. The purpose for our stay was for our honeymoon and we can honestly say that the whole experience was perfect from the moment we landed at Mahe airport to the minute we departed! Upon arrival we had the use of the private sea plane lounge where we had complimentary refreshments, massages and... More

The location is most probably the best of Mahe. We had a great time there but the first and last impression were not good. When we arrived although we had booked beachfront villas we were given a smaller (yet also very nice) hillside one. It took us many phonecalls to our travel agency to put us in the beachfront one.... WOW! We stayed one week in one of the hillside villas. From the very beginning with the flowers laid out on the bed, to the fab views, this stay was awesome! Highly recommended for honeymooners or burned out executives needing a break, this resort is very quiet and VERY private. It is on the other end of the island from... More
