What we had was good, a fresh fruit cup of adequate proportions, two small (3" by 4") by 5/8"" thick slices of french toast, and two pieces of impecably prepared link sausage one measuring 1/2 inch diameter by 3/4 inch long and the other 1/2 inch diameter by 1/2inch long, and that was it. No indication of offering a third... More

I recently spent 4 days completing a "credit card" bike tour across NY State following the Erie Canal bike trail. I was planning on riding about 50 miles a day, and researched accommodations in the Spencerport area as a convenient locale for night 2 on this journey. Favorable reviews of the Adams Basin Inn B&B led me to call for... More

This is probably the best B&B we have enjoyed. It is in a beautiful setting right along the Erie Canal between Spencerport and Brockport. The home dates from the early 1800's and has been wonderfully restored, complete with antiques and well--decorated rooms. It was clean and quiet, with modern conveniences, but the "charm" of the place and our hosts, Pat... More

I had a week off in the winter and wanted to go somewhere uncrowded - why not travel the route of the Erie Canal? Many attractions are closed - as is the canal itself - but there are interesting things to visit along the way. A highlight was this bed and breakfast right next to the Erie Canal. The owners... My wife and I spent three nights at the Inn. Over a two week vacation we stayed at three properties. Adams Basin was the last and the last was definitely the best. The house is beautiful - not elegant but authentic to the time and location. The breakfasts were great, fresh fruits and baked goods; Pat said she loves to... More

We have never stayed some where as perfect as this. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, breakfast was a delight every moring, the effort Pat put in was perfect.Daves history talks were wonderful, by the end of our stay, we knew more about the Erie canal than our Daughter did (and she studied it for her degree in American... We have stayed at the Adams Basin Inn at least 5 times through the years and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Western NY region. The place is beautifully decorated and thick in history. The inn keepers are a delight to talk with and full if interesting and fun information about the house and surrounding area. We've met loads... More

Bicyclists, antique and history buffs will delight in the Adams Basin Inn. Beautifully located right on the Erie Canal. Rooms are all different with special charms. Pat makes a terrific breakfast. Dave & Pat are wonderful hosts, and we even had a chance to visit the Ogden Historical Society while officially close with Dave, who is working on it. The... More

Quiet, restful weekend getaway for our anniversary. The home and gardens are charming and breakfast was delightful. We enjoyed walking along the canal and rocking on the porch. Dave and Pat are wonderful hosts.

We had a great stay at the Inn. The room was beautiful, and the owners were so friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the Inn and of the Erie Canal. Dave has a great sense of humor too! And breakfast was delicious. We loved our time there.
