The Golan Hotel is your basic hotel and a good value - and that's what my wife and I look for. We avoid the large hotels and opt for boutiques. I found the location to be good because it was within walking distance to local restaurants yet accessible to the nightlife at the waterfront (we had a car). Our room... More

This hotel is situated along the Sea of Galilee. If your room is facing east, then you'll have a nice view of the sunrise over the water. Otherwise, this hotel is average in every sense. Its a bit dated and needs some work. The room is relatively small, room for a bed and a small desk. The bathroom is also... More

Apart from Mr Grumpy on the piano everyone was very pleasant and helpful. He was however a very accomplished pianist. We all enjoyed our stay and the walk from the hotel to the centre was better exercise than a day at the gym. The young girl called Alona should be the manager. She was really switched on, and her English... More

Stayed at this hotel for two nights over Yom Kippur holiday as part of a tour group. Had some friendly staff who really looked after us. Was very grateful as Tiberius was pretty well closed down for the Yom Kippur holiday. Location is a little out of town but still walking distance (20-30 mins). The view of the sea, Mt... More

This hotel is over priced and a terrible value. It has cheap supplies, the food is awful, they don't provide bottled water in the room and for the price they could offer minor commodities for the travelers comfort. Lots of unnecessary arguing and a noisy security man.

As a tour group we stayed in the Golan Hotel for 5 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room did not have a balcony, but it did not take away any of our joy.The rooms were clean and tidy and we had a bit of a view on the Sea of Galilee. The food was excellent at all times.... More

Fifty years ago we spent our honeymoon at the newly opened Golan Hotel in Tiberias. As our golden wedding anniversary approached my husband David thought that it would be special to celebrate where it all began. He made the reservation and I went one step further and invited all of our children and grandchildren for dinner at the hotel. The... More

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. We came there by car but didn't find free parking space for the hotel guests. So we had to leave the car few blocks away. It was a family vacation with two small kids so we chose the largest room with a balcony (for an extra charge). Though we payed for two... More

Very good hotel with clean rooms, good food is not close to the center but this is not a problem taking under consideration how the hotel looks. The rooms are not very good, but the bed is very comfortable. the bathroom is ok maybe some small improvements but is ok. restaurant and food very ok.

On the slopes of Tiberias Mountains With breathtaking scenery of the Sea of Galilee, the Golan Heights and Ginosar Valley. Nine-story hotel located within a boring residential neighborhood , far from entertainment and shopping centers of the city. Hotel nice and quiet, comfortable and clean rooms, breakfast and dinner varied and delicious. Large swimming pool and pleasant. Jacuzzi, a gym,... More
