Out of the way hotel (maybe renovated 'rest home'?) near Galalee. Off the beaten path...no local amenities nearby. Clean rooms, beds ok. No noise. Excellent food at the restaurant. Staff was ok. Clean parking areas, well lit. Views of hills, valley, and mountains.

stayed here as part of a tour group. From the big tables in the dining room and the number of tour busses in the parking lot, I'd guess tours account for the vast majority of their business. The room was simple and clean. In the dining hall (not restaurant), salads and appetizers were excellent, main courses were hot table cafeteria... More

We enjoyed the cultural experience of kibbutz lavi and found the rooms to be comfortable and clean if a bit Spartan. The front desk was friendly and we had the chance for a great tour of the kibbutz by Ellis a humorous kibbutz-nick from Baltimore. The food was as expected... Simple and fresh. I believe this would be a great... More

My wife had been hearing about this religious orthodox kibbutz hotel for years, so I took her for a weeknight surprise for her birthday. For the price of the lodging, the room was very basic and simple- the furnishings were not new at all (there is a modern wing that costs even more). The food was also standard and basic-... More

Stayed as part of a Gate1 tour. Excellent service, lovely modern room great meals. The grounds are lovely, the staff very hospitable and the pool areas large and relaxing. One downside - the walls are very nothin - we could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors were doing next door. Oh my!

This is by no means a luxury hotel. It is an income producing entity that helps sustain the fiscal health of the Kibbutz to which it is attached. It caters to tour buses of both adults and youth. The hotel is clean and neat. The rooms are pleasant if a bit simple. The beds are comfortable but the linens are... More

We stayed eight nights in a top-of-the line (i.e. really expensive) room (Hadar wing). There are less expensive rooms, and much less expensive seasons. The room was large, well furnished, well appointed, and very comfortable. Breakfasts and dinners were excellent. High quality food well presented on buffets (except on The Sabbath = Fri eve and Sat lunch when they were... More

I was at the hotel for a family gathering the weekend of July 19-20. The rooms were as comfortable as any good hotel. Food was great. Service extremely helpful and courteous despite the fact the hotel is run by the kibbutz. Took a tour of the kibbutz and pleasantl gardens and got an insight into how they work communal living.... We just completed a two day stay at Lavi and very much enjoyed the experience. The hotel hosts many Israeli families and it seems to focus on providing a great family experience. The room was nice -- spacious and very clean. It also featured a wonderful patio. Breakfast was adequate but not as elaborate and extensive as major hotels in... More
