What a gorgeous and "different" hotel! Perfect for the Tzfat (Safed) experience! The hotel is a converted castle, with much history and artistic charm, situated high on the mountain. Breathtaking views. Each room is a little self contained unit, with private entrances from outside. Do not expect a modern hotel room, rather our Garden Room #3, had perfect rustic elegance.... More

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival. These are a reasonable size with lovely views across the valley and have an espresso machine and fridge. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was a decent size. Grounds are lovely and the building is quirky but interesting and staff we're very pleasant. Location is perfect for... More

Only good thing about this hotel is Sivan the lovely helpful receptionist. Our room had no water in bath and toilet did not flush. She moved us next day to room with water in bath but no plug!!! Other staff unhelpful no-one smiled. Towels grey, grim and we left after 2 nights having paid for 4 nights. This hotel is beautifully... More

After reading some of the reviews, we were a bit worried, but this hotel was one of the best we stayed in throughout Israel. Courteous staff, delicious food, large clean room with a wonderful view of the mountains. We were very happy we kept to the reservation. Would definitely return here and to the very interesting city of Safed. Added... More

We stayed at the Ruth Rimonim on March 7 and 8, 2014. It is a very nice hotel with courteous staff. Aside fro a little stuffiness in our room we really had no complaints, UNTIL we discovered that not only did the hotel not offer free WiFi, they had the audacity to CHARGE for it!!! REALLY??? In 2014 a hotel... More

After finishing 3 weeks of Sar El volunteering the Ruth Ramonim Hotel in Safed was the perfect finish to our Israel experience. I would stay here on a future Safed trip. Location right in artist district, cost of double room and great breakfast cannot be beat.

The hotel is in a good location, it's near the Galleries and near the Synagogues, the breakfast and dinner were very good. The room was clean and the view of the mountains were amazing.I really enjoyed my stay there.

This is supposed to be a highly rated tourist hotel. I was there in late February, admittedly an off season week. The cleaning of the rooms left a lot to be desired. My shoe stuck to the floor of the breakfast room four of the five mornings I was there (clean the last morning). One evening I tried to charge... More

I regret my recent stay at the Ruth Rimonim. The staff is absolutely awful. If you call the front desk no one will answer. They were rude when spoken to in person, and assured me there was no elevator to my floor even though there was one. Alhough the hotel was almost empty, I was given a room with a... More

The hotel's location is its main asset - an old, gigantic Ottoman castle-like building overlooking the valley and the mountains. Some of the rooms are housed in miniature buildings with their own private entrance on a beautiful garden. The place is definitely atmospheric at night. Breakfast is quite good. The hotel works at minima during Shabbat, which is a bit... More
