My friend & I visited Tsfat in March 2015 and had the good fortune to stay at the Artist Quarter Guesthouse located at 43 Simtah Yud Zayin, Artist Quarter, Tzfat. Tsfat is very old and can be a quite complicated because not all roads allow cars. Clear, thorough and accurate directions to the guesthouse were included without request in the... More

The Strausses have a lovely little facility here. Their personal attention to detail and to their customers makes this a pleasant place to stay. The apartment itself was lovely - a 300-year-old building, modernized to be comfortable for the middle-aged traveler. Breakfasts were delicious and full of energy. Definitely the nicest place we stayed this trip (T-A, Beit Shemesh, Tsfat,... More

My wife and I travel to Israel once a year and one of our priorities this tiem was spending at least a few days in Tsfat. I was looking, primarily, for a location that would keep me close to most of the shuls as well as the Miveh HaAri, so it wouldn't take me more than 20 minutes to get... More

Joy & Evan's B&B suite was gorgeous and spacious. It was beautifully decorated with old world charm with modern conveniences. A fantastic place to stay to experience the history, beauty and spirituality of Tzfat. The guesthouse is located right in the heart of the Artist's Quarter and close to all the historic synagogues and the Old City attractions. To top... More

The hosts, Joy & Evan Strauss could not have been more accommodating -- great service, not intrusive; the accommodations could not have been nicer; the location -- perfect! H& N Lerner, Los Angeles, CA

Tzfat is one of my favourite places to visit in Israel. And this time I was lucky enough to stay in a zimmer that belonged to Joy and Evan Strauss. The room and location were perfect. The accommodation was bright, warm, cheerful and clean. The location is central to artist area, synagogues and restaurants. Joy and Evan are wonderful people... More

The guesthouse was very quaint, a beautiful stone room tucked away in a little corner of Tzfat. It is in a convenient location right about the main street, but still very quiet. The room was comfortable and heated. Evan gave us a great map of Tzfat and Joy made us a delicious breakfast. I highly recommend staying here!

A great option to stay in Tsfat! The rooms are charming, furnished with much taste and love for the detail. Everything is very clean and well-arranged. We were welcomed with much warmth by the owners who did everything possible to help us find our way around Tsfat. The home-made breakfast is served in the room and absolutely tasty! The location... The owners (Joy and Evan) were extremely helpful and were very happy to assist with any queries we had. The location is excellent and easy to work to restaurants and tourist points in Safed. The accommodation has been beautifully renovated. We stayed comfortably for 3 nights. Enough room for 4 adults.
