We found Ein Gev to be a lovely place for a getaway. It gave us privacy, roomy accomodations, an excellent breakfast, and helpful staff. The two restaurants at the nearby port were also good; the fish restaurant was excellent but a bit pricey. This stop was a real unexpected paradise in late December. The setting on the Kinneret is idyllic, and while it wasn't quite swimming weather, it was not too cold to wade and splash around, and just perfect for our little ones to dig in the sand. It's a perfectly fine, low key place to stay for a night or two. Gorgeous view, decent enough room with a sweet patio overlooking the Kinneret. It's clean, simple and modest. If you are expecting plush towels in the bathroom, then this place is not for you. It's really nice. Try it.

This was our 4th or 5th stay at this hotel. The first time was in 2007 and have been there almost every year since then. Rooms are very comfortable though not fancy.
