I traveled solo to my son's graduation from the Federal Law Enforcement Center and was a little apprehensive about my stay because of the variety of reviews on this hotel and others in the city. I picked the right one! I was pleasantly surprised with a nice, clean room - including the bathroom! The towels were nice and thick too!... more

Artesia is busy right now. Lots of oil related business going on. There are not very many good places to stay in this area. This is actually one of the better ones. It's not fancy or cheery, but it smells better than most in the area. It's usually booked solid. The office staff tries to accomodate their customers when they... more

Although the room was non-smoking, there was a lingering smell of smoke, especially in the bed linen and pillows. Huge stains on the ceiling (room 209) bothered us. The food in the restaurant was horrible. We ordered dinner from the menu and waited 45 minutes! For chinese food! Breakfast was terrible too, everything overcooked. We were going to stay 2... more

We stayed here on our way to Carlsbad Caverns. It is just an hour more (at most) down the road to the Caverns, which made this handy. The bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of room in our king room. A refrigerator was nice for putting our water in. The bathroom was also roomy enough. The pool was open,... more

Booked to stay here but moved hotels as soon as we got there. The place needs to be bulldozed. I would suggest you book the holiday inn across the road. more

I really liked this place. You can see the pride in ownership of this property by how it is maintained. It is an older property, but they really keep everything in great working order, and it is very clean. The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and a couple of major oil refineries make up most of their business. However, I... more

I stayed at the BW Pecos while in NM for the 2004 UFO Festival. I agree with the other reviewer - even if you are going to Roswell stay here - it's only about 30 minutes from Roswell. This hotel is just the best The rooms are large, very nice and clean. They give you a real breakfast free and... more

This was by far the best hotel we hav stayed in. It had excellent beds, it was clean and comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and had great access to everything. If you are in the Roswell, NM or Carlsbad, NM area and need a great place to stay... stay here! It was cheaper than the touristy towns to... more
