WOW! What amazing find this is! I arrived on Friday afternoon and left on Monday morning and it felt like had a week off. The location is just amazing - a few minutes from from Arroyo Seco and the Taos Ski Valley, yet it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere as you relax on the patio, taking... More

We were immediately charmed as we searched for Casita Truchas driving up Calle Coyote with that feeling of being off the beaten path and only 15 minutes outside of Taos. The secluded drive and private entrance to the casita were a counterpoint to the incredible vista on the other side which over looks the Truchas mountains and the Taos valley... More

The casita surpassed our expectations. The photos on the web site do not do justice to the beauty or spaciousness of the house and the surrounding areas. The hot tub was private and great to come home to at the end of the day. The full kitchen was great, especially on days we did not feel like going out to... More

The casita is in a wonderful location, beautiful views, relaxing hot tub. Overall, we found the casita charming. The sofa in the LR is terrible to sit on (as reported previously), but found the bed comfortable. The biggest downfall is the large dog owned by the caretaker who was staying at the Casa, the other accomodation on the property. The... More

Many thanks for your review and sorry you were not happy about the "overly friendly" dog. We would like to respond that currently (nor are there plans for) any resident pets on the premises. We hope that you are able to visit either Casita or Casa Truchas in the future knowing that your stay will not be interrupted by any... More

I did a lot of research looking for the perfect mountainview rental with a hottub anywhere in New Mexico (our only two real requirements) and was so thrilled when I found Casita Truchas, since it was all that we wanted and more. When we got to the Casita, it was even better than the reviews and the pictures had said... More

Having not visited the area previously, I was a little nervous about staying in a rental B&B rather than a hotel. However we found the area, the accomodation and the whole experience wonderful overall. We went with quite average expectations given the type of accomodation, but were pleasantly surprised with most aspects. The views from Casita are stunning, and the... More

My family and I recently stayed at the Casita for spring break. It was such a charming place and the management was so helpful and friendly. Our boys loved the enchanting garden and a zip line to play on! Plus, my husband and I had a chance to unwind in the hot tub! The views are spectacular, I'm sure during... More

this is a beautiful vacation rental or B&B,with the most wonderful views. I have stayed there many times over the last ten years, but guest should know this May a new owner purchased the property. The Casita has changed, the inside is not the same. It used to have beautiful colors and was given special care by the previous owner, and alot... More

Sorry your stay did not meet with your past experiences. We are happy to report that the uncomfortable sofa has been replaced and the mattress changed out. We would also like to point out that most of the artifacts and wall hangings were purchased from the previous owners and the entire decor has been updated with southwestern and Asian motifs. More
