Studios are very clean, it's 25 minutes driving from masada and the dead sea, it's absolutely affordable and the woman is super sweet. A cute cat with a huge strabism... cute place. Arad is bit lost in the desert but there is every thing, shops, places to eat, even in shabat. I insist on the adorable woman here, super sweet... More

Great little B&B with that feeling of being home. Very comfortable and the owner Rachelle treats you like family. Clean and comfortable nothing fancy but a great deal. Recommend if you are near Masada or the Dead Sea or just want to spend the night in a cool little local Israeli artist town. The owner even mailed back my power... More

5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 25, 2015

We stayed recently at the Villa 1000 in Arad for seven nights. We found it to be very clean, convenient to all the sights we wanted to see in the region, with a very comfortable bed. Rachelli was a wonderful hostess who made us feel very welcome and part of the family. The view over the desert is awesome and... More

Plus: Nice rooms, fresh and comfortable, very clean, nice towels, good beds. The owner was friendly and hospitable. Less good: Better find a restaurant for dinner. There were a few issues--there were not enough single beds for our group of friends, our toilet leaked into the hall. A good place to stay when passing through Arad.

If you're going to spend time in the Dead Sea Area, go the extra mile and stay in Arad, you won't be disappointed, especially if you stay at Villa 1000. The views to and from the Dead Sea are spectacular, with Arad being a lofty jewel. Racheli is such a lovely lady, she's is one of the nicest people you... More

I stayed here this last weekend with our hiking group. Our organizer had booked here and I looked at reviews on Trip Advisor and looked forward to an enjoyable stay. I'll begin with the positive - the room, although quite small, was comfortable, although there were some faults in some of the rooms - our big shower head didn't work,... More

We prebooked one night on our tour through Jordan. That was a mistake...WE SHOULD HAVE BOOKED SEVERAL DAYS. This tasteful property is an oasis in the desert. The rooms are crisp, clean and nicely appointed. The rooms empty onto a large terrace overlooking the mountains. It is quiet and peaceful. Our breakfast was left in the fridge and was delicious.... I brought a small tour of five other friends and had not stayed in Arad before. We were pleasantly surprised by comfortable well-appointed rooms, a beautiful terrace and breakfast area, plus fabulous food, but the owner/manager and her daughter were what won our hearts. Our rental car wouldn't start so we were stuck 4 extra hours. Our manager made many... More

This was a surprise stop at Arad, near the Dead Sea on our way to Elat, the villa so named because it is exactly 1000 above sea level. The villa is run by a family and the mama cooks the most delicious cheese and parsley omelette for breakfast. I think she served the most delicious breakfast I ever had since I... More

It is a private house which was converted into 10 rooms, so it fits a branch of families/people who wish to Masada (45 minutes drive)and/or the Dead Sea resorts &spa (25minutes). It is located in a very quiet area of Arad . The air pollution is 0 !!! Mind you,it is a b&b level so don't expect 5 stars hospitality... More
