great hotel, with much charm, very helpful owners - helped to organise a visit to Son & Lumiere show at Masada & good suggestions re walks/ restaurants etc; most amazing breakfasts - if weather is good take it on the terrace. Good for access to Masada & Dead Sea.

Don't be deceived by the exterior as you drive up to this hotel. The place is magnificent! Beautiful views, quiet surroundings and wonderful accommodations. We stayed in the family room which has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a common hallway and a balcony. It was just lovely. The exterior common area is cozy and inviting with lots of couches and sitting... More

The staff was wonderful, they made you feel like you were a guest in their own home. Hotel was spotless clean. Price was dirt cheap for what felt like 5 star accommodations. Beautiful whirlpool tub, I relaxed in it for almost an hour! All and all it was PERFECT!!! I will stay there again!

I'd like to add my 2 cents worth of praise for this exceptional hotel. For once, everything in the reviews was true! Came from the rainy, dreary west coast of Canada to the wonderfully sunny and dry climate of the Negev desert. Got up to the sun rising over the quiet hills, desert birds singing, and an incredible Israeli breakfast... More

We overnighted here so we could be 15 minutes from hiking Masada at sunrise the next morning. It was perfect - where else are you going to lay in your bed and look out across the dessert in the comfort of an air conditioned room? The staff was wonderful - welcoming, and great family feel. Breakfast was great and in... More

I was told when going to Israel with my son for a trip at Christmas to skip Arad, what they said was a dead industrial town in the middle of nowhere. Wrong. This is a new town which is pretty quiet and nondescript OK but peaceful - and then you come to the Yehelim which is on the edge of... More

We arrived early in the morning and were accepted by Gili who was charming hospitable and playful. He offerred us tea and a place to store our luggage while we went for a walk. We walked to Tsfira pool that was lovely after the wintery week. Upon our return we were surprised to find that we got two deluxe rooms,... More

We first visited Yehelim when it was first opened and several times thereafter, finding it to be a beautiful property ,with comfortable rooms, lovely gardens and a wonderful breakfast. It has recently come under new management and we paid another visit last week (Dec. 26,2012). If it was good before it is even better now. The rooms are large and... More

wonderful relaxing getting away focused primarily on walks in dessert, taking in views. Hotel was intimate, attentive, relaxed. Breakfast was scrumptious. Decor was spartan but in excellent taste. Bed was super comfy with lots of pillows and blankets. Jacuzzi hit the spot after long hike, but meant for solo use (at least in our room). Plenty of hot water.

We had our apprehension about visiting Arad, giving that a friend gave Arad a less than glowing review. However, staying at Yehelim Boutique Hotel was a excellent experience and a great jump off point for our later visit to Masada and the Dead Sea. The hosts are warm and inviting, and accommodating, and the rooms clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast... More
