Just to let you know: this place is closed! We wanted to go there because of the good rating here on Tripadvisor. But apparently they already started to pull down some bungalows. We finally stayed at Sendok Hotel in Senggigi, where you get good value for around 250k.

wonderfully arranged bungalows, turned backwards or sideways to each other, divided by bush of Krotons, so you feel like nobody else is there. A hammok on the veranda, moskito nets over the beds, bamboo walls and krafted windowpanels. Wery good to chill out for families and lovers. The place has entrance to the sea, but there is a cement wall... More

I stayed here a couple different times and loved the atmosphere. You can find activities such as surfing, climbing Rinjani, renting a motorbike and cruising the island, or just relaxing. The community meals were amazing and you get a chance to meet everyone there. I'm curious to see what will happen with this place under new ownership. Pearl has done... More

We stayed for a few days in Lombok and more specifically in Santai. It was amazing. The bungalow were so cosy and the spot itself fantastic We rented a small boat and went to the Gilli Islands. Turtles and beautiful fishes to see !!

The Santai Inn is owned by Pearl since 27 years and has a very friendly statt, good food, a beautifull garden, quiet and is situated on the seaside. Unfortinately it has been sold and close down by the end of march 2014. The new owners want to reshape the place and replace the 10 old bungalows by 30 new ones.... More

My friend who introduced me to Santai has been going there for years, and recoiled when I said it was my first time ever in a backpackers hotel. I spent far less in five days than I did recently for a night in the Wangfujing Hilton. But this is an establishment committed to its ethos of sustainability and what I... More

We simply adored our time at Santai. Recommended by friends who have been coming for 15 years, we easily slipped into the slow and gentle pace. Massages on our deck, walks on the beach, dinner at the shared table, or at 5 star down the road, what more could we ask. The simplicity was what we needed and the room... More

From the moment we stepped into Santai Beach Inn it had an overwhelming sense of peace. A quaint and quiet village of authentic bungalows nestled amongst a lush garden located right on the beach front. (The beach is only a stones throw away). I have travelled all over Asia and this place is my number 1. Each bungalow has a... More

We only had two night at santai, traveling between Bali and the gili islands, but I wish it had been longer. The cheaper rooms (200,000 idr/night) are very small, but have a great tree house vibe. Pearl is amazing, dinner is great, and there's a long beautiful beachfront a few minutes away.
