A lot of people seem to expect a 5 star experience at a 2 star price. This upwardly rambling 'guest house' provides a variety of options at prices commensurate with similar accommodation in this strange but refreshingly cool town. Rooms are modestly furnished but are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms basic, soap supplied, western toilet. Breakfast is basic Indonesian fare. Of... More

I once stayed at Edelweiss Hotel for a work travel. It was based on a friend's reccommendation and overall, for an average stay, I would say Edelweiss gave their effort. I stay at the room for one person, so it was quite helping for the cost. Bathroom They had hot water and used shower. However, sometimes the hot water did... More

I think the reviews are a bit harsh. Accommodation across Flores is in general far below par and expensive for what you get. Compared to the dump we stayed in in Ruteng, Edelweiss was clean, quiet, and across the street from the 2 highest rated restaurants in town, so also well-located. The wifi worked, the staff was friendly and the... More

Bajawa does not have any options for budget backpackers and rooms under 200,000 Rp simply don't exist. Edelweiss, was not just a pretty crappy hotel, but offered absolutely NO value for money. CONS: The staff is dismissive, often simply chatting and joking with their friends in the lobby rather than attending to customers. FAR too many tour guides occupying the... More

We had one night here. At first our booking wasn't recognised, but this got sorted after a while. You don't expect 5 star quality but this was a good deal worse than any other hotels we stayed in when on holiday there. Externally, if looks OK, with a rustic kind of charm, but the rooms are damp and a refurbishment... More

We spent there only one night. The staff is friendly, but all the rest is just terrible! Rooms are old, in super bad condition, moldy and very grubby. Bed sheets are not changed, they are super dirty with holes and the woolblanked just looks like toiletpaper. Sorry to be so honest. I guess there are not many good options in... More

I was in the economic room area, since in high season everything was fully booked in town and in Edelweiss. The name must be ironical, as it has nothing to share with a European mountain place, on the contrary it gives you the worst of third world, and it is a pity, because many other places are getting better. In... More

Yes our budget room, toilet and shower were poor. We paid 200.000 rph. For Bajawa standards 150.000rph would have been a better price (thats what we paid our second night in hotel Korina). Our room was situated next to the breakfastroom. You don't need an alarmclock... Location is perfect. Edelweiss is next to 2 best restaurants of Bajawa & local... More

We arrived in Bajawa when it was dark and chucking down with rain. Our bus was willing to drop us in town though and we asked to go to Edelweiss because it was recommended in the LP guide. We ran inside from the rain and asked to see the economy twin room. As soon as the door was opened you... More

Basic yet appropriate for what you spend, we stayed for one night, great hot water shower, stayed in back room high level, very quiet and comfortable bed. Mosque isn't loud at all, Breakfast included was fine. All of the reviewers who whinge about really small things should get a life and except what is offered for really a cheap price.
