Located only ten minutes from Taos center, this B&B is a mud adobe dwelling built in 1990 that could easily be featured in any number of upscale magazines. The Sangre de Christo Mountains can be seen to the east and the Rio Grande Valley to the west making the Little Tree property a true gem of a location. The four... more

We just returned from a week in the Spruce Room at Little Tree. Without doubt is was the best inn we could imagine. The views are spectacular, both dawn over the mountains and sunsets over the Rio Grande Gorge. Breakfasts were informally elegant, served in a garden courtyard buzzing with hummingbirds. Maggie and Gordon are helpful, informed about the area... more

I stayed at the Little Tree because I had read a review that said the hosts could cook gluten-free for those of us with celiac disease. Cook is an understatement. The breakfasts were awesome and prepared with great care. Every guest's dietary needs were met and we all ate very well on fine china, with all the ameneties one could... more

This is a charming little inn and worthy of consideration for any couple needing a quiet getaway. It's a 20 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley and less than that from downtown Taos. Maggie and Gordon were the consumate hosts. They knew plenty about the area, were spot on with restaurant recommendations, and cooked a couple of great breakfasts. Gordon... more

Little Tree B&B is one of the top bed & breakfasts in the Taos area. Amazing views of the mountains each time you go to the property. It's well worth it just for the views! The owners are former Ritz-Carlton employees so they know top notch service. They are great people, Maggie & Gordon Johnston, and give you gourmet breakfasts... more

We found the Little Tree on Trip Advisor, but booked directly with them because I have a gluten intolerance and wanted to get a sense of how they would accommodate my needs. I didn't want to pay for a B and B if they were just going to eliminate all the fun stuff they offered. ("Well, I usually make quiche... more

A great B&B. Beautiful room, tile floors, wood beamed ceiling, adobe walls, nice bath and private patio with hot tub. Rooms are all off a central outdoor courtyard, beautifully landscaped. Common areas are also exceptional, as was the breakfast. Our only complaint was the hot tub in the room next to our room. We stayed in the Spruce room and... more

We stayed in the Pinon room for four nights and were delighted. Maggie and Gordon Johnson, the owners, are committed to hospitality and pay tremendous attention to every facet of your stay. The Pinon room is above average in size. The appointments are carefully and thoughtfully selected. The queen-sized bed is very comfortable. There are two windows on opposite sides... more

We stayed at the Little Tree B&B in 1996 before the current owners took it over 8 years ago. It was wonderful then, and even better now. The B&B, situated just minutes away from the main attractions in Taos and the Taos Pueblo (and on the way to the ski area) is located in a quiet area where, once you... more
