We stayed as a family for three days from 18th to 20th April 2014. The palace is an hour drive from the new airport. I had opted for their travels service with a customized tour. The driver Dedy was very helpful and proactive. He made sure we were comfortable the two days he took us on the tour. The hotel is very... Hotel rooms are spacious, very comfortable, great balconies with view over the wonderful ample hotel garden and the green surroundings close to the City, but reflecting a magnificent tropical landscape. Very friendly, welcoming professional services, including great trip assistance. Excellent facilities on the ground, including nice swimming pool with an enchanting view close to the hotel restaurant, offering delicious meals... More

My mother and I only had 3 free nights during our trip to Indonesia. We booked a 2 night stay in Bukit lawing through Trijaya Tour and Travel. We were picked up by our driver at the airport. This driver had not mastered English yet, but this tour company does employ drivers who can speak English. My mom can speak... More

we were only on transit in medan and really enjoyed our stay at deli river. i know, it's a bit more expensive but it's all the money worth. the staff is very friendly and the rooms nice and clean...and although it's not the closest to the airport it's worth spending a night there.

The hotel is located on outskirts of Medan which is great (can easily get a cab into town if you want as staff will ring one for you) and has nice gardens in a gully like setting which separates the accommodation from the restaurant/Hotel proper. Being set down from road helps to reduce noise although did get woken by the... More

Hotel Deli River has a beautiful trankil setting quite far from the center of Medan. When I was staying there, there was some noise during the daytime from the construction of an additional building on the premises which took away a bit of the piecefull atmosphere. The room I stayed in was clean, but pretty basic, with two single beds... More

Thank you for your comment. Regarding the construction, we would like to inform you on the fact that the construction of the new rooms was finished in July 2013. Concerning the price of meals we give the following example: a nasi goreng in our restaurant costs Rp. 54.000 in Indonesian rupiah equivalent to US$ 4.5. This consists of nasi goreng... More

Our first day in Sumatra. We needed a place, to reset minds and relax, as a slow start for 1 week in Sumatra and three weeks in Asia. Perfect start. Ok Food. Nice swimmingpool. Det location is outside city centre. For us it didnt matter, but should be mentioned.

I have an eco- tour business where we need to provide our guests with a quality hotel, good service and delicious food. The Deli River delivers on all of these along with friendly personalised service and immaculately clean rooms. The location is excellent and provides a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Diana and her team are doing an excellent job... More

We loved our stay at this hotel. It's a quiet place just 20 minutes from downtown Medan. The food is good, at breakfast they had home-made cake and pineapple jam. When we had an early check out, they gave us a breakfastbox to take with us! The rooms are big and clean,no refrigerator but you can use the one in... More

We started a 16 day tour of northern Sumatra with 2 nights at deli river hotel. The room was very nice with hot water, WiFi and air con. The restaurant was good by Sumatran standards, but I would not recommend buying wine - its too difficult to ensure reasonable quality and the price is high, especially if its 'off'. Breakfast...
