The resort is set in a little bay looking straight on to Bunaken Island. Although the beach is small it is well maintained and very pretty and big enough for the number of guests at the resort. Although there is room for more whilst we stayed there was between 10-15 guests at the resort. Service in the hotel is great... more

Good Points Booked this allegedly boutique hotel mainly because of its proximity to scuba diving sites. Good pickup from the airport, well handled at reception having arrived through well maintained gardens. Room/cottage quite luxurious for the location and everything worked. Very well run dive operation which took care of equipment with good guides nice boats and convenient timings. Restaurant and... more

First time to Manado and I am very impressed with Kima Bajo resort, only aprox. 15 minutes away from airport and 45 minutes to the city (Manado). I stayed in bungallow no.6 which have of the best view overlooking directly to the sea, swimming pool, to Bunaken Island and Manado Tua mountain (also try no.7 for the best view). The... more

I went to Kima Bajo for 5 days of diving with my wife and must totally agree with the review written in August 2008. First impression is very good: gardens are beautiful, the view from the restaurant is great and the villas are good. The spa and poo are nice. But that’s where the good news stops. We stayed in... more

This was supposed to be the perfect honeymoon/vacation by a paradise beach. There was unfortunately nothing about this beach that reminded about paradise at all, except maybe the palm trees and coconuts. The beach was filled with all kind of garbage (like most places in Sulawesi), and the sea water was brownish and dirty. Being outside by the pool also... more

From the moment we were collected at Manado Airport the staff at Kima Bajo could not have done anymore to make our stay more memorable or pleasurable. The setting is truly spectacular. Originally in one of the Longhouses but we upgraded to a sea view Bungavilla and were not disappointed. There is a small village nearby and we were told... more

We have just returned from eight nights at the Kima Bajo Resort & Spa and cannot express how much we enjoyed ourselves. From the minute we got there we felt as though the Kima Bajo Families priority was to make our holiday as special as they could and i am writing to tell you they succeeded. Nothing was to much... more

OK, now imagine this: “You just wake up from a peaceful night sleep, get out of bed and step out on your very own veranda overlooking a peaceful sea and Manado Tua (a sleeping volcano set in a turquoise/blue sea). You wash-up and walk down the graceful hillside to the restaurant veranda for your breakfast while looking at incomparable scenery.... more

We have just returned home from a lovely time at Kima Bajo Resort and Spa in North Sulawesi. After spending a week on a live aboard dive boat, I was happy to spend less time under the water and to relax at the pool and spa while my husband kept diving every day. I really liked the idea of the... more
