Very nice, european-like hotel. Nice comfy bed, hot water, bathroom looks good. Breakfast is a bit poor but they serve normal indonesian food - nasi (rice) & mie (noodles), no ayam, of course :)) + coffe and tea of course. Close to the central part of the city and to the best chinese restaurant in town - Noodle House. Must... More

Visit manado for leisure for 3 days. This place is quite simple yet i dont need fancy one, because most of my time will spent outside. This place suitable enough for me, near city, easy access to remember, price is good. Room is clean, bathroom okay, maybe the tv connection need improvement. Quite also, and good choices for backpacker traveller.

I've stated in nice hotels, scummy motels, secluded B&B's, and hostels on busy streets. I've stayed in hotels on top of bars, restaurants, and strip joints. Istanaku is the loudest place I've ever stayed, by far; and the noise all comes from inside. The hallways are like echo chambers, somehow magnifying any sound made into a cacophony even earplugs do... More

Istanaku is a nicely located overnight option in Manado convenient esp. if you are taking a car to Gorontalo or a ferry to Bunaken. It costs approx. 22usd for a double room which is not the best value for money taking into account that: - WiFi is only available in the reception area. No signal in the rooms - AC... More

This was a very good place to stay for one or two nights. For 1 night the standard room offers just enough space. I would stay in one of the bigger rooms if I would stay more nights. The room has a very good bed, a nice warm shower and is very clean. The breakfast is alright but basic. The... More

Pretty good hotel. We stayed 3 unsuccesive nights in Istanaku Guesthouse, room 13 and 17 (standard), 26 (superior). Overall it was very good; room's clean and tidy, comfy bed, price is decent. Beware of room 26, cafe across the room was having a loud karaoke party up until 2am.

I stayed for 3 nights with my family and I admit that this guesthouse is sufficient for backpackers like us. The room is very comfortable, the employees are kind. The location is also really strategic, allowing us to stroll around the city by taking the public transportation. We even walked to some places. The only downside is that the receptionists... More

Clean hostel style accommodation, great for a stopover. It is a bright and modern hotel with new fittings and air-conditioning.Restaurant attached to the hotel provides cheap good quality meals. The staff are friendly and accommodating, I was checking out early to go to the airport and they organized a taxi for me and even a breakfast pack to take with... More

This is a great value hotel if you're after an inexpensive stopover in Manado. The place has the feel of an upmarket hostel with bright, modern designs and pleasant communal seating areas on each floor. The gentleman at reception went out on his motorbike at midnight to get us some food after a late check in on our part, which... More

Greeted with a warm, friendly smile, check-in was quick and efficient. Our bags were brought up to our room. We booked a superior room, which we later found out was not much different than a standard. A standard seems to only have a small window overlooking the side wall whereas the superior has a large window, located at the front... More
