Pondok Suada Indah is in the center of Makassar, at a walking distance from restaurant and sea front, 2 mn walking to a shopping center. Rooms are spacious with high ceiling, white tiles, in an old colonial house. The big bathroom comes with hot water and a mandi. BF is included. Reception is particularly friendly and keen to help. The rooms are clean but look a bit dirty. Some renovation would be recommendable. But the prices, atmosphere and the lovely service of the employees made my stay in Makassar! Do go on tour to bantimurung national park and have lovely conversations with the driver. Don't go here if you are looking for luxery. Do go here if you are... More

this place is relatively cheap for one person but would be really cheap for two people. it's not colonial era as the lonely planet describes more like a slightly rundown version of a 1980s miami hotel. rooms are spacious with bath and shower and breakfast- omlette, toast and coffee- is included. close to the night warungs too.

Quite a few we looked at tiny windowless cubicles, and often the air con didn't work properly. So when we found Pondok Suada Indah, we were impressed that the... More
