Old things always interest me. For something old to stand is an accomplishment to has, isn't. Just located nearby benteng Makassar, it is a fine place to stay with your family. Enjoying fine dinner accompany by local singers. Go along the shore to have local appetizer: pisang epe. Please avoid any fights. Local people are famous on it. Hehehe

I stayed there for business trip, the hotel location is just perfect in the city center. But the room a bit old and smelly sometime. The worst thing is their breakfast. Even they have stunning restaurant, they don't manage it and look dirty, breakfast served cold.

Nice hotel , staff is very helpfull , good food and a nice view. With a taxi 20 min. to AirPort costs 200.000 rupiah is normal price. And pick up from AirPort in the middle of the night was perfect. For what we paid a good hotel. But the room is a little old , bathroom needs renovation

Makassar Golden Hotel is located exactly at the end of Losari Beach. The hotel building which blends design Toraja traditional house on restaurannya building it into one of the buildings that come beautify face Losari Beach. From the restaurant Anging Mamiri, will be obvious sights Losari Beach and Island Lae-lae. What a wonderful culinary atmosphere and refresh the eyes. Konro... More

And the staffs also, they're friendly and ready to help you. The hotel is very old, it was once the most famous hotel back in the New Order era, but now you can easily find newer and better hotel. The room was okay, at least the AC worked, even though the room kinda smelt damp. The breakfast was also okay,... More

Although in a prime location on the sea front, it is hard to recommend this hotel. I had reserved a "De Luxe Sea View Room". Bizarrrely despite being next to the sea there are few rooms facing the sea and most if not all suffer as did mine form having the view totally obscured by 4 dense palm trees -... More

We stayed here for 4 nights but should have had the sense to move elsewhere after viewing our room. The 'deluxe' room was absolutely filthy, paint peeling from the walls, blue/green mold everywhere, air conditioner not working and a bar fridge (un-stocked) that you could grow mushrooms in it was so filthy and unclean! This was NOT a four star... More

The hotel is located at the city centre, sea view and closed to souvenir shop. Just few minute walk to have a local food, you can walk around the sea side during morning & evening and easy to find local food from hawkers. The room is clean, but the rate is a quite high compare with other hotel around.

I spent two nights at this hotel at the end of October 2012. It is a small to medium sized hotel, with a terrace overlooking the harbour where meals are served. Breakfast consisted of a selection of three cereals, juice, teas and coffees and eggs made how you want them (I opted for cheese, ham and mushroom omlette - nice!).... More
