Club Med Bintan is a great option for a long weekend getaway from Singapore. We were there with 3 kids (6 yo girl, 4 yo girl, 8 mo baby). The 2 older kids spent the entire holiday at the Mini club and we had to drag them away in order to spend some fun time together. The GO's were fantastic.... More

We stayed at the resort for 4 days and 3 nights. What we found as Asians and first timers at Club Med, the GOs over in Bintan are more comfortable and spend more time with the Caucasian guests. The resort was a bit tired, service was slow in the restaurants in terms of cleaning up and the only thing that... More

We booked Club Med for a business retreat. It was Monsoon season (Dec-Apr) and the sea was choppy from Singapore, so the ferry ride was not so great. The arrival was clubmed-unique: the staff (GO - gentle officers) all lined up with drinks and towels, gave a 3minute introduction and we were individually escorted to our rooms. The room was... More

This resort is a disgrace to Club Med. The property is dated and awful, often wet with lots of dangerous stairs. The architecture is sterile and the main bar is in a white painted basement. Feels more like a tropical morgue. The dining room is also completely indoors and possibly the noisiest room I have ever been in. The only... More

This was our second Club Med after Bali. After a highly efficient pickup from the ferry terminal we arrived at CM in 15 mins. In summary: - Food was good. Lots of variety although with any buffet type restaurant in pays to get in early. Food types were Western, Japanese, Korean and some Indian curries. Lots of roast meats and... More

My husband and I just returned from the Club Med Bintan from a three day stay with our eighteen month-old. I have already made reservations to return there for Chinese New Year! To be honest, we did not expect much from Club Med because we have heard mixed reviews. Perhaps because of this, we were quite pleased with our experience... More

We stayed for 5 nights over the New Year. Rooms - deluxe sea view room. The room was pleasant and always well tidied/cleaned by staff each day. The door had a faulty locked but was quickly repaired. Food and drinks - Very mediocre, except for 31 Dec and 1st Jan. On a typical day, there was a wide buffet spread... More

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 7-day stay at Club Med Bintan! Great food, wonderful services, fun with snorkelling, trapeze, water sports, ball games, gym, yoga, dancing... By far, certainly one of the most value-for-money vacations my wife and I have ever had.

Bintan is a short catamaran ride away from Singapore. The Club Med at Bintan was one of the nicest holidays I have been to. My elderly parents were also with us and we all enjoyed ourselves. There is non stop entertainment if you want to participate, and there is enough tranquil peace to just laze if you want to do... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Island of Bintan to the south of Singapore is full of history, marked by fallen empires. Its tranquil bays were long used by the Orang Laut pirates as a refuge. This is where Club Med Bintan Island, a haven of tranquility and refinement combining modernity with Asian tradition, now nestles. From the terrace of the Bar, feast your eyes on the mass of lapis-lazuli blue, mother of pearl and emerald, from the pool to the lush gardens. Nearby, Ria Bintan Golf Course is also a golfer's heaven. ... more   less
