We just spent what was most probably the most amazing and relaxing beach holiday ever. Whilst the admittedly steep price tag and the rather inconvenient way to get there might put you off initially, let me assure you that both are more than worth it! Once you reach Tanjung Pinang, Deddy and his team will take care of you and... More

Recently spent a weekend on the beautiful private island that is Pulau Joyo. Dedy Goh (who I met from a trip to Pulau Pangkil some years ago) was, as usual, very helpful with all the arrangements knew a few of us from our Pangkil trip - its always nice to be greeted by a smiling familiar face! The stay is... More

I can´t get more private than Pulau Joyo. This tiny island in Indonesia is one of the best places I have never been. The rooms are located across the island and each one of them offers you the most amazing views. I will definitely go back when I have the opportunity.

This is beautiful resort and the standard of the facilities, the rooms, public areas, pool area, gardens and layout of the island were all first class. We really enjoyed the simple, family style Indonesian cooking and were particularly impressed by the fresh fruit and vegetables. The setting is idyllic, it’s a real ‘get away from it all’ place. Fantastic once... More

I read all of the review below and it's hard to add anything more except to say that in addition to being a beautiful slice of paradise a stone's throw from Singapore, this place also has a wonderful reef surrounding the island. We saw a stingray, a very small shark, heaps of fish, some nice soft and hard coral and... More

We spent 3D2N at this very private island. The 1st night, there were total of 3 couples and 2nd night left 2 couples on the island. Bright & sunny in the day and breezy & starry at night. Meals were arranged in different parts of the island for guests to enjoy different views. Really appreciate the effort by the team... More

I've just spent 4 days at Pulau Joyo with a group of 13 other friends to celebrate a friend's major birthday - they hired the island just for us lot. The transfers were great, the staff were incredibly helpful and couldn't do enough for us in terms of laying on refreshments on the journey and everything. The accomodation was beautiful... More

Its a very beautiful place but the food is very poor and basis the price you are paying (5 star prices) we were expecting an awful lot more. For 4 days we ate very plain fried rice or noodles, boney, dry and gristle filled meat or fish and the same avocado and tomato salad. Tofu was always a feature at... More

PangkilJoyo, General Manager at Pulau Joyo, responded to this review

As soon as we received the guest's complaint through their travel agent we a) apologised -- maybe his agent did not pass it on b) instigated a full investigation on the food served to them and questioned our cook and staff. The menu, ingredients and variety turned out to be substantially the same as usual. The cook has been with... More

My husband and I just spent the weekend at Palau Joyo to escape the city for a couple of days. This absolutely did the job! I was craving some clear water and nice beaches and this delivered. The transfers to the island were all really smooth and we were there in the 3 hours like the website says. We then... More
