We were lucky and stayed in a new refurbished room although we still smoked out the room first after hearing of the bugs. They've taken the windows out too... think management have been staying in Tunes and Easys too often. Expect significant noise levels on weekdays as rooms are refurbished one at a time. And the reason the towels are... More

The Hills is one of the oldest hotel in Batam, the cleanliness the room no good enough. the bedroom was poor, the towel not clean. Not many choices for the breakfast and the taste was very standard, nothing special. Despite all of that near Nagoya Hill Mall was the only plus thing.

It's definitely in need of a major refurbishment or a change of management. The towels were coffee latte tone rather than white which was rather a put off. Was tempted to run across to Nagoya mall to buy a new set of bath towels. breakfast choice was dismal and uninteresting. The only saving grace of this hotel is the perfect... More

Glad that the hotel location is near to Nagoya Mall however the room is really run down. Cleaniness, towels, basically the functions in the room such a turn off. Felt uncomfortable. Should do full refurbishment for the whole entire hotel as their location is very convenient. Decided to stay for 3 days 2 nights however decided to shorten stay and... More

The bathtub dirty, no toilet spray, mosquitoes in the room & toilet, bed was uncomfortable with broken pieces on the inside that gives sqeaky sound, no swimming pool, air con in the room is as good as no air con in the room & further after the room reaches to breathable temperature the air con temperature automatically goes higher leaving... The Hills is in decline, and whilst the staff are helpful and polite, the accommodation and associated facilities are showing advanced signs of sharp decline. The spacious smoke filled lobby is forever occupied by loitering taxi drivers and people who clearly have no business at the hotel. Dodgy. The standard rooms are small, dated, dingy, dank, and overpriced. Bathroom is... More

THe hills is as what the others mentioned.. super old building, old facade is ok as it has the unique ethnicity there of baliness feel. However the room is not ok! its bad... During my booking process (dad insisted to have there for convenience), i have communicated that i will require both rooms to be in queen size bed and... More

The Hills is really an old hotel and not really clean. The sheets were stained and there were bugs. Bathtub were either stained or burned badly by cigarette butts. Toilet flush didn't really worked. Sink was stucked. Television was the old kind But functioning alright with cable. Aside from the superb location - directly opposite Nagoya Hills, there's probably nothing... More

The Hills (previously known as Puri Garden) has a beautiful facade, with its Balinese decorations style. Compared to other hotels in Batam, one can see that more thoughts are given into its design. Too bad the building is quite old and seems like no recent renovation efforts have been done. The first things that struck me when I stepped into... More
