Hotel kartika was established by Netherlands Government at 18th Century when Netherlands colonized Indonesian Peoples. This hotel has style like european building at 18th century. The combination between hotel and nature in Batu city has been attracted domestic tourist or foreigner tourist. The price is cheap about Rp.650.000 - Rp.800.000 for 1 night. Hotel Kartika is the part of Batu... More

(Excellent for Heritage hotel) If you wish to stay in a boutique, super clean new looks hotel or expecting modern facilities for your hotel in Batu, Malang (East Java), please don't come to this hotel. Hotel Kartika wijaya is a Heritage Hotel, its blending antiques and homey perfectly. I'm a writer, been there a night and perfectly satisfied to what... More

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The grounds are pretty, but I would not recommend this hotel as the facilities are very dated and the facilities are not clean. I wore shoes in my room at all times as the carpet did not appear clean. The area behind the TV and behind the bed were covered in dust. The... More

The lobby and central building was the holiday home of the Sarkies family who ran Raffles Hotel as well as other classic hotels. Kartika Wijaya is a fraction of the cost of the other Sarkies hotels but is less luxorious. The rooms are in more modern wings and are good for the cost. Wifi was available in the room but... More

Beautiful scenic location. Sprawling property. Clean and comfortable rooms. Kids enjoyed the facilities immensely. Very efficient, cooperative and understanding management and staff. Strongly recommended for family stay. Regret our stay was only two days.

This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely location, you are met in reception with a hot Ginger and brown sugar drink which is beautiful. I thought the rooms were a bit small and cramped, with no WiFi access, so you have to use the dining room. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was its close location... More

This is my third stay in this hotel since the 90s. Good garden view and nice swimming pool. Food and service are excellence. The room is kind of aging, no wifi in the room, no flat tv and the bathroom need renovation.

If we compare with the other hotel in Batu, this is more expensive. Locate in the center of the batu town, old and colinal hotel, area is so huge. Rooms in cotages we could park our car in front of the room. The beds is not comfort and furniture really old.

I went to East Java to visit my grandma and we went on a trip to Batu. We haven't been to Batu for ages, and didn't know of any hotels except for Kartika Wijaya which has been around for a long time. And sure enough, it is old. Very old, in fact, with outdated furnitures, bathroom infested with insects, and... More

Located on the main street of Batu, the hotel is easy to find. The room was nice and spacious, but furnitures were quite old. The garden and the pool were amazing, including the mountain view from the coffee shop.
