We visited Sindang Reret Restaurant at Cikole after Tangkuban Perahu and were pleased with our choice. It is a nice restaurant serving authentic Sundanese food, service is good. Try nasi timbel (rice wrapped in banana leaf), gurame fish, fried tauhu. Good and reasonably priced, group of 7 pax paid 340k Rp.

Apart from the ambience and a par excellent service, the food is a disappointment. Hubby n me felt totally relaxed after the journey to the kawah Putih. So decide your priorities...ambience vs taste. The only decent dish was the recommended gurame with young mango sauce...which by chance everyone reading this must try the gurame humbug Bali at Aston tropicana, chihampelas.... More

Our friends brought us here and we stayed the night just to enjoy the cool scenic surroundings. Since it was a weekday, it was peaceful in spite of the fact that there were several families holidaying. The chalet we were assigned was spacious, clean and comfortable and we could park the car on the road right infront of our chalets.... More

Stop for foods after visiting kawah putih. The foods were delicious and the price is cheap. But most important the place is very nice and the scenery around the hotel was beautiful. There are two areas in the restaurants one with the chairs and the other is floor sitting

We stayed at the new built bungalow, which is look fresher and cleaner. Sorry to say, but the old bungalows are old... More

My first guess from the front of the old building this must be an exclusive sundanese food & price. My guess was wrong. The first time i laid my eyes on the menu, the price is not exclusive as i thought. It's affordable. So i order rice roasted (rice roasted in banana leaf) & the famous chicken bakakak. Also sour... This restaurant is recommended by local people for nice Sundanese meal, for their "nasi timbel" and "nasi liwet" and also belacan sauce. Tried here for a lunch after getting down from Tengkuban Perahu. Worth trying besides Kampung Daun.

GREAT food--nice, clean surroundings. One of the women in our party said it was the best Indonesian food she has had in ONE YEAR in Indonesia! Some locals invited us here and we had a great bid table full of great food! RECOMMENDED! Only complaint was that the music was a bit loud for conversation--but very typical music as a... More

Sindang Reret is the restaurant worth trying if you are in Bandung. Easy access from the key places in Bandung. Serves authentic Sundanese food with a rustic ambience. Suitable for family dining and corporate entertainment. For an authenic dining style, you may opt for the "lesehan" (sit on the floor - cushion pads are provided).

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after seeing a recommendation online. We had never tried Sundanese food so we weren't sure what to order. We asked the waiter for a recommendation and were extremely happy with our lunch. We had ayam baker, ikan bakar, and a stir fried vegetable dish. Every dish was really tasty and the prices... More
