We stayed in the studio room, which was a huge room. It has two queen size beds, great for family stay. However, the soundproofing of the room was quite bad, we could easily hear next room's noise. The location was a bit far from the Ubud centre, it's difficult to get around for shopping and dining, but here you would... More

Tanah Merah resort is beautiful in every way. It has artifacts, statues, vases, carved wooded doors in all the nooks and crannies. We stayed in one the traditional villas and it's a lot of space for two people, big stone bathroom, seating area on ground floor and bedroom with balcony overlooking the forest on the first floor. Early in the... More

We were treated so well at Tanah Merah. To start a 6- week Asian adventure, this place sure didn't disappoint. I booked through Travelocity for basic accommodations, but to our surprise were given one of the Villas for our stay. Breakfast every morning was amazing, with fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juices, and a selection of other fare. The resort itself,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tanah merah . After a minor hiccup with rooms that was sorted super quickly we settled in to one of our favourite hotels of our trip. The place has a beautiful character to it and the views and pools are divine . The breakfast was probably one of the best we had out if... More

It's hard to put into words how amazing Tanah Merah is for a stay in Ubud. The resort reflect true Balinese culture and it allows you to soak in the culture, the people and the beauty of Ubud. The views within the resort are UNBELIEVABLE. None of the pictures on their site do it justice. The service is fantastic. Everyone... More

Our stay at Tanah Merah was very mixed. The resort itself is beautiful, large grounds where you could lose yourself. Firstly the dogs that have been mentioned - 3 rottweilers - are as placid as dogs come and are great to have around. Very safe. The bungalow we stayed in was like a mini museum; it looked great but the... More

I just came back from a trip to Indonesia and Malaysia and stayed four nights at the unforgettable Taha Merah. The first three nights in Bali we stayed in Ubud, in the middle of the most touristy part of it and we couldn't wait to leave. So-many-tourists... BUT then we arrived at this hotel and it was paradise. The scenic... More

Great food, especially the home made bread, but too far out of Ubud - 6km of winding village lanes, they do offer a taxi service to take you into Ubud free of charge - one way only but would have preferred to be more central. Stayed in the studio rooms, comfortable bed but backs onto a villager's homestead, crowing cockerels... More

After booking another Ubud hotel for 5 nights, we were informed upon arrival that they had overbooked and that we had now been booked into Tanna Mehra for 2 of the 5 nights. We wish it had been the FIVE nights! The place is 4-5 kms out of central Ubud but it is worth the distance. It is like a... More
