This hotel was recommended by a friend and it met the brief exactly - $100 a night incl breaky, old Bali charm, not a huge complex, close enough to attractions without being in the middle of town. We didn't have phones so relied on the staff at reception to make all our bookings which was never an issue, washing service... More

Green Field Hotel was exactly what we wanted while staying in Ubud. Peaceful setting away from the busy commercial area, but close enough to walk to restaurants, Monkey Forrest and shopping! Or you can use the excellent shuttle service provided by the hotel. The owner and staff were delightful. We felt as if we had known them for a long... More

Stayed here after a recommendation from a friends friend and glad I did. Out of the town centre a little but in a great location overlooking the rice fields and with 2 pools and very nice grounds. We had a newer room which was HUGE as was the bathroom and very clean. It was not overlooking the fields but didn't... More

Stayed at Bale Sukat overlooking rice fields Pros: - rice fields view is gorgeous - hotel is big enough to roam around - you can lounge in the reception, lounge area, saltwater pool area - I felt like there were so many different settings I could sit with coffee and a book - Service was friendly Cons: - Room was... I got really busy at work after my stay during the Easter holidays, so this review is overdue, but I feel it's still important to write it. Hopefully management has already improved its policies and procedures so that a similar incident has not happened to other guests since my stay in April. First, I want to mention that this was... We stayed for 2 nights and opted for a room in the newer building. Our room had a very modern and minimalistic look with a massive balcony. The room is oversized and had floor to ceiling glass doors so you have a unobstructed view of the paddy fields, we loved waking up and watching the sun rise over the rice... More

A local friend recommended this place and I am so glad they did. We had a lovely room overlooking rice fields and it was lovely value for money for what you would get at other more expensive places. Highly recommended. The pools were awesome too.

My 14 year old daughter and I stayed in a Bale Adat lotus pond view room (409) for 2 nights in July. A friend stayed in the room next door and we had a couple of other friends staying in other room types at the same time. Our room was huge and the bathroom was enormous. There was a little... More

We nearly missed finding out about this place, as most of the reviews and photos online are re the more expensive rooms. We were looking for a quiet guest house overlooking rice fields, with a pool big enough to swim in and lie around, and we were thrilled to find Green Field as it has absolutely everything we want at...
