The best thing about Gusti Garden is its central location, the heavenly gardens and family temple. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable, the fan worked well and kept the bedroom cool. The bed linen and towels were clean but a little old, which is of no importance really. Breakfast although small is more than adequate and... More

Hidden behind a family compound this accommodation is good value for what you get. Don't look too close because in our bathroom there were tiny spiders on the bench and white ants in the timber, no bathmat, no soap and very little toilet pater, with no bidet instead. I guess this accommodation is a step up from a hostel. It's... More

nice homestay in a temple area, very close to the center without the noise ! swimming pool is small but nice. the wifi doesn't work in the bungalow. nice place but you might find some small animals in your room ;-) price in august 350.000IRD, a little bit expensive for a backpacker travelling alone. you can find better & cheaper.

This experience was like stepping back to the 1950's. The room was comfortable with an overhead fan but no air conditioning. Beautiful gardens but the steps could be daunting for anyone with leg issues. A simple breakfast was included in the daily rate and the pool was a great way to cool off in the afternoons. The water pressure in... More

Great place. Whilst it's not 100% insect free and so on - and the place could do with a fair bit of repair and decoration - but the price is good and the aspect over the valley lovely The people who run it are a kind family team. I definitely recommended.

The location is excellent, close to town. Great gardens. Pool is small. There are a lot of steps, so if you are not step friendly I would let them know. The beds were comfortable, but the room and mostly the bathroom need a LOT of attention. No glasses are provided, and no daily room clean or fresh towels. We knew... More

Spent 16 days here again! Not much change in 9 months! Still in need of serious repair, if you not to worried about detail ie: shower that has very little flow and runs out of water at times as a result of tank fend facilities! Burping and hissing water in the basin! The general feeling of the owners was that... More

Our booking at Gustis was very much driven by the location. This was ideal, meaning we were able to walk to the centre of Ubud very easily. However, arriving at Gustis at around 11.30pm following an awful day of travel disruptions we were warmly welcomed in our room by a plethora of ants, mosquito's, geckos etc. The accommodation was very... The offerings in the restaurant are reasonably priced. The chicken sate was tasty enough. My main suggestion has nothing to do with food, although it may enhance the dining experience (let us hope): a few more lights in the evening would be my tip to the management. Honestly, it is almost impossible to order and eat in the dark. Wasn't... More
