stay there for two nights, spacious room, clean, and pretty, with balinese decor. It has a relaxing terace, and the room itself is airy. It's very popular among traveler. We have been trying to book in advance (like 3 months in advance, this year) and we still can't get the room in alam indah. But it proves that this hotel... more

We stayed at Alam Indah from the 6th to the 9th of November 2009. It was hands down the best hotal we stayed at in Bali. The quality of the rooms, the beauty of the gardens, pool, location, staff all combined to make our stay most memorable. Large multi-colored butterflies flew around the gardens to get a nectar in the... more

Alam Indah is located in a rural village setting within a very short walk to one of the back entrances to Monkey Forest. A quick and pleasant stroll through Monkey Forest brings you to one end of Monkey Forest Road, one of the main streets of Ubud. If you don't want to walk to Ubud through the Forest, the staff... more

First off, you can't beat the location near the Sacred Monkey Forest. (There is a short cut through the forest that takes you right into downtown Ubud but make sure you take a flashlight if walking back at night as the path is not lit.) The hotel is off the beaten path, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Start the... more

What a find - I cannot recommend it highly enough - in fact, I wanted to keep the place a secret to share only with my nearest and dearest - but that wouldn't be fair to the lovely people who own and work at Alam Indah or it's 2 sister properties nearby. We had the Coconut room for 4 nights... more

Excellent to be so close (short walk through the monkey forrest) and yet so removed from busy Ubud. Beautiful rooms. Very good staff - great to have free lifts anytime in and out of town. Great pool location surrounded by forrest - very peaceful. Highly recommended. more

We stayed in the Gardenia Suite (Little wooden house would be a better description than suite) for a few days for our honeymoon. We loved everything about it. The open-sided bathroom, the view of jungle and volcano, the exquisite carved wooden furniture and doors, the verandah where we sat and watched the stars while drinking a bottle of champagne brought... more

I was guided by TripAdvisor recommendations in my selection of Alam Indah. From the start, the staff was extremely warm and accommodating. I must agree with an earlier review that outdoor critters are part of lodging at this lovely place - however I learned to overcome my anxieties and truly appreciated the lovely landscaping and thoughtful design of the inn.... more

All round great experience. Stayed in the Rambutan Suite over Nyepi (Festival of Silence) when the whole of Bali closes down to prevent themselves being spotted by passing evil spirits. Even with the staff being reduced to 2 and the guests all whispering to each other we were beautifully taken care off with a picnic from Cafe Wayan. Recommend the... more

What a find. Thanks to my friend for recommending it to me. We stayed in Rambutan and loved it. Such an out of the way, totally unique place. Good value and a chance to experience something different. Lovely breakfasts in stunning surrounds and really friendly and helpful staff. If you go to the monkey forest, don't take a plastic bag... more
