Went with 2 other friends and arrived in the middle of the night but they still waited and welcomed us which was very nice of them. Breakfast is great and the pool is nice. Location is perfect, can easily walk to main attractions like yoga barn and monkey forest. We also got a tour by Putu (recommended by the hotel)... More

Great location - near to the endless restaurants and shops, and of course monkey forest. Great banana pancakes for breakfast and relatively friendly staff. Rooms are huge, and have a lovely Balinese style. Comfy and clean beds. Didn't use the pool but it was a nice addition. Very reasonable price for the location and would recommend it to all.

Rooms were large but very dated. Beds did not have sheets - eewwee! Rooms were dirty, smelled badly in bathroom. Staff were fairly indifferent. Air con worked, water was hot. Guess you get what you pay for because for here it was cheap. Ok for 1 night maybe.

We stayed two nights in hotel with air con. +Air con was strong! Yayy! To the point we turned it off sometimes. + our room was clean and very spacious ( upstairs with balcony) + the room decor looks very Bali + good location for monkey forest, spas shops and restaurants + pool was a good size considering location (... After an earlier stay in 2008, we visited again in 2014 and it seemed that there wasn't a penny invested in maintenance. Pool had broken tiles, shower wasn't working, bad matrass, etc. The staff was only supportive when asked for, and for the rest of the time looking as if they would rather be somewhere else. Finally, the breakfast was... More

Other than the annoying Mosquitos that seem to get in everywhere, ethos place is a treasure. The pool is small but beautiful and the whole atmosphere was perfect. The rooms and the gardens are decorated and arranged beautifully. Breakfast is also quite nice, and it's in a perfect location if you want to be in town. We loved it, and... More

They gave us a room that was full of mold, dirty and that smelled really bad (no AC). The blanket was dirty, we had no soap, no sheet, chalk in the bathroom, no hot water. As we noticed the mold on the walls and in the wardrobe it was already too late as the reception didnt really tried to find... More

Perfect location, with everything in central Ubud just minutes walk. Great swimming pool and friendly staff. As for the room, it wasn't great. It smelled strongly of damp. The walls are adorned with woven palm and I suspect there's moisture somewhere behind leading to the smell. Decor and bathroom was old, but fine. My room had AC, fridge and hot... More

This is a great place to stay for travellers on a budget. Location is half way up monkey forest road and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast each morning was also great! The rooms are fairly basic but a good size with good sized bathrooms. The staff made sure they put mosquito coils in our room every... More
