The staff was extremely nice and super helpful for booking our activities, the rooms were clean, the breakfasts were delicious and fresh! Of course, the rooster was a bit disturbing since it was "singing" at 4-5 am, but other than that, we had a very nice stay there. It is very well situated in the city, close to restaurants and... We stayed here twice, once for three weeks and once for a week and totally fell in love with the place. You are living in the family's home and its so nice to see them coming and going. The traditional buildings and gardens are so beautiful it's like staying in a temple. The room was great and its cleaned everyday.... More

Review I slept for one night in June at Nick homestay in standard room number 10. For the positive points, the garden looks authentic and is a quite nice environment. For the (numerous) negative points. - room: not clean at all, I would not risk taking a shower in that without my slippers on. The worst point was the smell... More

We stayed in Ubud for 2 nights, mainly so we could explore the rice paddy's and the sacred monkey forest. Location is good: about 5-10 minutes downhill to monkey forest or 5-10 in the other direction for main strip. The Home Stay is really hidden down a tiny gang so keep your eyes out for it! Staff were really friendly... More

Really enjoyed our time spent here in Nick's homestay. I wanted the experience of a room without air-conditioning and got it. Big room, comfortable bed, good size bathtub and shower. In the morning all you have to do is go to the check in desk's and place your order of breakfast from their list and within 15 minutes it'll be... More

Bad: bathroom drain clogs and we end up standing ankle-deep in soapy water. Close to monkey forest but far from everything else (takes minimum 25 min to walk to town center). the Roster. Red/brown stains on the bed sheets. Good: spacious room and very friendly and warm staff. Free wifi and breakfast. Beautiful gardens and tranquil setting. No AC but... More

The guesthouse is located in central Ubud close to any amenities you could want and the monkey temple. The layout feels very Balinese and genuine and the whole guesthouse (including the rooms) are very clean. What really made this hostel great was the staff, in particular Kenyat (who is an absolute hero), whom made us feel so at home and... More

Central in the Lifestyle town Ubud. Next to monkey Forrest,Perama bus station, two Yoga studios and a lot of great restaurants and shops. Wonderful scenery with a beautiful garden, nice rooms and a delicious and healthy breakfast .The staff was also helpful and friendly - to put it in a nutshell I was totally pleased :) A little note, i... We chose Nick's Homestay because of the good reviews and because we were looking for a cheap option. My friend and I were pretty disappointed to find that the room wasn't clean (particularly the bathroom) and the roosters/birds were noisier than we imagined. That being said, the service was really good (aside from them insisting we hadn't paid when we... More

Staff were excellent, location excellent, breakfast good, the pool was about a 15 minute walk but worth it- beautiful grounds. One of the cleanest places we stayed. Authentic Balinese compound. Wifi was not great.
