I'm so glad we stayed here. While Ubud is a fantastic place to be in Bali (it's an artistic hub and an historical & cultural centre) it's also busy and noisy with traffic, hawkers, market stalls, restaurants, shops & tourists- the Taman rahasia is an oasis of calm. It's situated on the outskirts of Ubud, only a short walk into... More

I booked Taman Rahasia soon after renovations had finished and there were no reviews on Tripadvisor since 2014, so I wasn't sure what to expect. However, it looks like much of the hotel is the same as before, apart from the new shaded area at the very front of the property. Like what Mike W has said, the hotel doesn't... More

I find myself in two minds writing this review. On one hand I want to let all like minded travelers know about this but on the other, keep it to myself. On our arrival I was a little taken aback....the entrance is less than impressive... a few steps into a narrow corridor, high unimpressive concrete walls either side....then it opens... More

Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Fantastically accommodating staff, a delightful couple and their family for whom nothing is too much trouble. Hotel is a 20min-ish stroll from Ubud, away from the hubbub up a lane with views of paddy fields. Beautiful, clean room, lovely attention to detail including toiletries, plenty of bottled water and reasonably priced minibar. Lovely, shady... More

I stayed at Taman Rahasia for 3 nights in September. I was looking for a quiet place to relax, a pool, wifi to reconnect slowly with the world, and proximity to the yoga that's on offer in Ubud. For a start logistically everything was perfect, which is always a good start. Pickup and dropoff at the airport was arranged for... More

Really perfect for those who are not going for luxury and high prices, but appreciate a small-scale accommodation, quietly located in a small "back yard" with lots of shrubs and trees, and wonderful sounds of animals in the night, when oil lamps give the place a very special atmosphere. With a pool that has sunshine some of the day, space... More

After a 30-hour travel "experience" to Bali, followed by a 1-hour drive to Ubud with Wayan who picked us up at the airport, my boyfriend and I finally arrived at Taman Rahasia in the late afternoon exhausted and road weary. We stepped into a beautiful walled compound full of flowers, trees, and chirping birds. We were greeted by host Made... More

This our fourth trip to Bali and every time we have spent time in Ubud. We love it there and get out of town as much as possible so decided to try Taman Rahasia in Penenstanan which worked out great. From the minute we were picked up from our two night stay at a newish hotel in Legian we thought... More

Taman Rahasia means Secret Garden and that is just what this boutique hotel is- a GEM in more ways than one!!! The rooms, the grounds, the staff, the chef...look no further. This place is IT! The location is a 5 minute scooter ride into Ubud or an easy 20 minute walk. Owned and operated by a Balinese family and Canadian... More

I stayed here for two nights and found the hotel to be a great place to relax. The rooms are nice and tidy and our room had a huge terrace to relax on after a busy day. The staff is really friendly and helpful. It is placed a bit outside of the busiest streets of Ubud, and it takes about... More
