The Villa was huge! Absolutely gorgeous sized room. It was clean and tidy. Sadly, this resort has been left to its own devices for the most part. It is very rundown. Many of the Villas and the main entrance are closed as they need maintenance, in some cases, there may be Villas that need to be demolished. Friendly staff. The restaurant is only open for breakfast at present. Location is lovely overlooking ricefields, but it is not within walking distance of very much - I expected more warungs, cafes, and/or restaurants to be in walking distance. Would not return to this resort unless there is some major improvements/maintenance to the grounds and buildings.

Second time to stay on this place. Bee. Here pre-covid and now post pandemic. The place never failed me. Quiet. Peace. And so relaxing for the busy city life. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. Thank you!!!! Hope to be on this small paradise soon.

We have visited this in first week of December. I suppose that we were the only visitors in entire resort. Your Rooms (Hut Shape) and bathroom are very spacious. The only thing that I would like to highlight that you should be prepared for fact that this is sort of nature gifted property. The owls and rats were continuously making noises which has scared my partner. The breakfast was available with limited options and disappointing for vegetarian. I could have chosen some other property during off season.

The roof of our villa was infested with rats the size of my size 40 shoe (yes I saw one). They were noisy and smelly and dropped poo over the floor every day. The food was very average, dirty dishes or food took days for cleaners to remove from the room, and I had to request water, toilet paper and clean towels on more than one occasion. The pools filter broke and was a hotbead of festy bacteria, which gave me Bali Belly like I’ve never experienced in my other 10 trips to Bali. Totally run down and in need of some love. Don’t do it.

We were transferred there by another hotel due to overlooking. They assured us that the standards were the same but it was far from reality. Nothing to complain about the facilities, like the swimmingpool or the restaurant, not even about the hotel staff. What we found totally out of place was the bathroom. Extremely old pieces. There were both shower and bath tube. The water from the shower was directed everywhere but not you, and the bath was very dirty and it was liking outside. The room was just ok but got bitten by mosquitos at night due to the huge holes we found in our mosquito net above the bed. The sheets of the bed were full of holes too, which they tried to cover up with the typical scarf you can find in every hotel bed. As we were transferred, they gave us the opportunity of extending our stay until the end. We kindly declined it as it was not even similar to what we booked previously.

If you are in Bali, and plan to stay in Ubud area, you can't miss experiencing the enticing beauty of this gem of a property. Bumi is one of the oldest and finest resorts in all of Bali, considering its geographical placement (right next to flourishing rice fields), humongous and amenities rich Villas and the beautifully maintained flora (wrapping some hidden and interesting fauna - don't worry, its completely safe here). The entire property has been developed as a nature's paradise, with spellbinding spread of greens and colorful flowers, and a rice field overlooking infinity swimming pool right in the direction of Sunrise......my my, what a view you get here swimming early morning; one just can't get enough of it! The restaurant is placed conveniently at a height right besides the pool, adding a considerable quotient of cool breeze to the amazing view, while you enjoy your scrumptious breakfast. The staff is courteous and always willing to extend an extra hand of help/support, whenever you need it. There is a shuttle service to and fro Ubud market and nearby places, free of cost, from the resort, at regular intervals daily. And to describe the villas you get to stay in, nothing less than a royal suite, with huge living space, attached kitchenette, a hot tub sporting king sized washroom and dedicated garden area with a gazebo to relax or for those much sought after Balinese full body massage sessions. Each villa is equipped with all the modern day amenities one could think of, like electric kettle, hair dryer, hot and cold running water at all times, LED TV with cable connection, hidden fridge stuffed to capacity with drinks, Books to read, king size bed with drapes and mosquito net (in case if you need that), intercom etc. And all this, for really economical pricing per night, including breakfast. The best served ROI im Bali I would say. Highly Recommend!!!

We arrived at the hotel and ate at the restaurant. Pool is beautiful and clean and the food was oke. We went to the room and checked the bed and found several bedbugs. We went to tell the reception and she said it would be cleaned, but we demanded another room. We saw it when they cleaned the old room, they sprayed for ants and only changed the sheets. Which is not enough to get rid of bedbugs. We checked out the new room where we found bedbugs as well. It seemed like we had to explain to the hotel what bedbugs are. They didn't take it seriously and thought it was the same as ants.

This hotel’s atmosphere is really peaceful as well as natural. Its personels are alao very welcoming and helpful. This place also provides shuttles to ubud so you dont need to pay money for taxi. However, the noises from tiny animals :) at night can be very scary, you if you want a naturel place this is quite normal.

What can we say beyond, we were spoiled! The staff was present with all of our needs with genuine kindness. The rooms were very spacious with gorgeous canopy beds and the private garden was beyond our expectations considering the low price we paid. The entire hotel grounds were immaculately groomed and felt like a true hideaway away from Ubud city madness. Dear staff, if you are reading this, please know that we had an amazing stay and hope to be back in the future.
