We stayed in the indus villa. The kids were thrilled with the romantic ambience of the room particularly the four poster beds. We always look forward to breakfast served at the balcony. The bread and juices are freshly made everyday served in very pleasant settings. The complimentay transport to various parts of ubud is a big plus point. We enjoyed... More

This lovely place is unique in so many ways. Each room is hidden in its own niche and feels so private. The gardens are manicured, the staff reserved but always pleasant and helpful. They brought breakfast to our room each day, simple but very satisfying. It is not a fancy place, but felt like a real cultural experience. We enjoyed... More

I have visited Bali 5 times over the years and stayed in various hotels. Alam Shanti is the best. Our Bali guide who is driving around and who I have befriended is of the same opinion. Do not be fooled by the expensive 5 star properties Bali is full of. None better reflects the old charm of the island like... More

I stayed at Narmada room of Alam Shanti with my daughter at this time. Per my experiences, You can make yourself at home whatever room you stay at Alam Shanti. We have ever stayed at Shindu, Laksmi and Narmada. I hope you can imagine how nice the rooms are from my reviews. Once you stay at this Hotel you would... More

We stayed in three different rooms at Alam Shanti. Loved Shindu, very large room, quite private, big verandah with lotus pond, outdoor bathroom, all lovely. Nothing beats the elaborate breakfast delivered to one's room by caring staff. In pleasant village, close to good restaurants and not too far from Monkey Forest. Elegant spa and swimming pool on site. Have been... More

Alam Shanti is ….. Bali. A beautiful, tranquil idyll set in a lush garden among verdant rice fields. We, a family of four, stayed two nights at the charming and spacious Yamuna villa, enjoying breakfast on the terrace served by kebaya-clad ladies, sleeping peacefully under the mosquito nets of our four-poster beds, lounging by the semi-private pool, marvelling at the... Away from the increasingly busy main Ubud area, is the shady and cool gardens and villas of Alam Shanti. A very Balinese experience with beautiful gardens with 2 storey Balinese houses (upstairs and downstairs suite in each) well spaced around the grounds. We stayed in Yamuna, the downstairs of the villa which shares a very large private pool with the... More

This place is great! Many positive aspects have already been pointed out by other TA members such as: it's situated in a great location and has beautiful grounds with fabulous Balinese style guesthouses. The setting truly provides a wonderful sense of peace and relaxation. The fresh breakfast that is served each morning is just divine!

We had an amazingly peaceful stay here, on the other side of Monkey Forest, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Breakfast was great and healthy, and the complimentary afternoon tea a nice touch to help unwind from sightseeing in the morning. We stayed in the garden view - Shindu, it was very clean, neat and comfortable. We could... More

This is a paradise in a small pasadise. The beauty of this place is that it feels local and nice at the same time which makes the place very genuine. In Ubud and in Bali you will find lots of villas and boutique hotels that although beautiful they start to look mainstream however Shanti still remains genuine. The service is... More
