We had an amazingly peaceful stay here, on the other side of Monkey Forest, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. Breakfast was great and healthy, and the complimentary afternoon tea a nice touch to help unwind from sightseeing in the morning. We stayed in the garden view - Shindu, it was very clean, neat and comfortable. We could... More

This is a paradise in a small pasadise. The beauty of this place is that it feels local and nice at the same time which makes the place very genuine. In Ubud and in Bali you will find lots of villas and boutique hotels that although beautiful they start to look mainstream however Shanti still remains genuine. The service is... More

This was our second stay at Alam Shanti, the first time we had just loved it. This time we had booked the Gayatri room. From the reception it is a 5 min walk. As we had arrived in the night and though the walk way had lights, my daughter was nervous of walking through the fields with all the croaking... More

This was our second stay at Alam Shanti, and I have to say that it is a really pleasant place to stay. We travelled with friends and had the garden house. The price is very reasonable, especially considering the size of the room, which also incorporates a large verandah and kitchen area. The property is a short but easy walk... More

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was beautiful, with a marble bathroom & spacious living and sleeping areas. It was close enough to central Ubud that we could walk or take an inexpensive taxi to see things, but far enough from the bustle to have a peaceful sleep. I advise bringing insect repellant if you are prone to... More

Alam Shanti - what I would give to be back there right now. There aren't enough complimentary words that I can use to describe this little gem. Our 4 night stay was perfection. From the second we arrived we felt so welcome here. Just off a flight after 24 hours of travelling from Ireland we were greeted by wonderfully friendly... More

We spent five nights at AS in the Indus room which, at US$135/night is quite possible the best value I've ever experienced in a hotel room. Our "Deluxe Garden View Room" was absolutely huge and was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, including free WiFi. The Balinese carvings and artwork gave it character and its second floor location provided us... More

Alam Shanti, The first sight in love... Full of green fields and very quiet , Staffs are very helpful and smiling all the times. At the begging I just booked 3 nights. After I fell in love with this calm place , I extended another 6nights but I tried different room. Utari was a small paradise , Stunning viewing from... More

This is our 3rd visit to AS. It is located at the opposite side of the monkey forest from downtown Ubud in a residential area which is fast changing to limited hotel and restaurant area. we always choose the upstairs Gangga room, or the downstairs Yamunna room, largely because they come with the exclusive usage of a large pool. The... More
