What an excellent place to stay when in the hustle and bustle of Ubud. My mother has been staying here for 10 years and would not recommend anywhere else to stay. The location is prefect and the views are better. Nothing beats Nasi Goreng and rice paddies.

Lovely setting in a paddy field. I can spend hours at the pool. The wooden house would certainly appeal to the Westerners. For Asians, go for the super deluxe. The views are fantastic & it comes with a jacuzzi

Glad I booked my superior room months in advance. I had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the rice paddy. I enjoyed the banana pancake breakfast on my balcony. Staff service was the best. Being a solo traveler. I never had to worry about my free drop off and pick up service in Ubud. I attended the highly recommended... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and can definitely see why it's so popular. Staff were wonderful and so happy to help with booking activities and giving directions, all with a smile. We stayed in the Superior Deluxe room as the Wooden room upstairs was booked out. We ate breakfast at the restaurant there twice and was delicious as well as... More

Everything was really special about Tegal Sari. The staff was so attentive, kind, good humoured. The wooden room was my favourite with the deluxe room a close second. Watching monkeys in the rice paddies and reading on the verandah. Supper was the best. Went back a second time and had the same experience.

This is our 4th trip to Ubud in the last 5 years and our 4th stay at Tegal Sari. We love it. We stay in a super deluxe room each time overlooking the rice paddies. The rooms are clean and have everything wee need including mosquito coils, bottle opener/glasses for drinks on the verandah. The location is surprisingly quiet and... More

Original check out time is 12 noon, we ask for extension and are given till 1pm. Yet when we are back to hotel room today before 12 noon, to our horror, our luggage were packed by unknown and 2 of the luggage were moved out to another room where our friend suppose to stay for another day. All these happened... More

I was there to stay for 1 night only before continue the trip to Nusa Dua, and rent 2 types of rooms (Deluxe and Superior). Both rooms was good, spacious and clean. Most of decorations is wooden made and classic. Surrounding by gardens, rice fields and small ponds, makes the atmosphere fresh, cool and of course there were lot of... More

This is one of our regular stays. It's an older hotel and could do with a refurb, but for $70 per night for 2 people you cant go wrong. The location is great and the rooms are very clean. We normally get rooms #19,21 & 23 (these have a great view). They are the closest to the monkey forest exit... More

We stayed at the Tegal Sari for 3 nights in July as a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 kids aged 3 and 8. It was our first time in Bali and we wanted to see the cultural rather than party element of the island. The Tegal Sari was a good choice for a place to base ourselves. We... More
