We stayed there recently for 5 days. Be aware that it is a 90min drive to the beach. After we checked in I noticed our safe was not bolted to the wall, luckily we didn't use it as our room was robbed, yes robbed on the last night. Still waiting to hear from them regarding their investigation. I would never... More

I can't believe staffs gave us one non-prepared room that the pool full of leaves, mildewy air condition and no cold water to wash facilities, and I think it is not good place if you have kids. 房間沒整理修膳,花錢受氣。

My friend and I stayed here for one night but spent almost two whole days here. February is their off season so not many people here. We loved the tranquility after spending 4 nights in kuta. The staff was very accommodating and attentive. We visited the spa and got a massage, body scrub, and rose bath surrounded by nature. Our... More

We spend 4 nights in May 2014 and enjoyed ourselves immensely.. however we did have issues - none of which spoilt our stay. Our first private pool villa (in the newer section) was beautiful and we couldn't believe we had it all to ourselves. However, after 24 hours the bad smell from the toilet became unbearable and was beginning to... More

Just the environment makes it work for this hotel! Situated on a hillside there is a great view from the common area infinity pool as well as from our bungalows. We had private pools and outside shower/bathtub. The actual bathroom was inside of the house. Comfortable beds, AC, Barely any Wifi, no mosquitoes as far as we could tell. Plenty... More

We planned to take a luxurious turn as the conclusion of our Bali holiday and moved from ANANDA COTTAGES to THE PAYOGAN VILLA RESORT. But what a disaster! Yes I admit the landscape is breathtaking as I imagined but! Despaired room and poor condition of facilities made a once-glorious grand manor becomes ... rather a beautiful ruin. (in a very... More

The hotel had a grand appearance on first sight and the lobby staff were very welcoming. The walk to the room was quite steep over mossy steps and could be dangerous especially at night because of the slippery moss. Thankfully they had little golf carts to take guests to their rooms. The grounds and rooms were in need of maintenance... More

The Payogan is set in a beautiful landscape. The resort architecture is traditional Balinese. The staff are excellent ... but their ship is sinking. I arrived late at night and braved the walk from reception to my jungle villa. It was dark, misty and the sound of frogs was deafening. First things I noticed in my room.. The security box... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights after a 6 night stay in seminyak.. unfortunately staying here put a big dampener on our bali holiday.. we spent the whole period of our stay wishing we were still in seminyak. From the disgusting wild cats that wandered through the restaurant, the dirty toilet which would not flush. the rude freaky... More

I stayed for one night in Payogan with my wife and young children. A traditional Balinese styled resort that is quiet and peaceful and has lots of greenery around it. Wayan, the desk manager, really made our stay very comfortable. I had some change of dates for which I had to negotiate my dates at other hotels - Wayan helped... More
